We receive many messages on people trying to overcome porn addiction. Here’s some tips we can offer that will help you by the will of Allah.

1. Lower your gaze: This doesn’t mean only lower
your gaze from pornography, but rather lower your
gaze from any and every person you find
attractive. This means avoiding movies, television
programs or even Facebook pages where you will
come across such images, even if they’re only
subtle. Remember the Shaitan will come in tiny
discrete steps. Also note that it’s a lot easier to let
go at the beginning than it is once you’ve fallen
into something worse.
2. Fast Frequently: This is the advice of Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh) who taught us that fasting will
reduce your desire. If your desire is very strong,
then you should fast at least twice a week. Also
avoid eating heavily, as food (especially meat) will
always increase your appetite for desire.
3. Avoid being alone: The less you are alone, the
less chances you will have to fall into sin. If you
could also join a religious study circle and
constantly surround yourself with people who
remind you of Allah. Even if you are not doing
anything religious, just avoid being alone.
4. Attend the Masjid: We strongly recommend you
to visit the mosque every single day for at least for
one prayer. The Masjid is a refuge from sin and if
you are constantly in this environment, God willing,
you will change.
5. Prayer & Duaa: At the end of the day, Allah is
your main source of support. Try your best to pray
on time as this will help keep your iman in check
whenever you fall out. Always ask Allah to support
you and God willing you will get through this.
May Allah make it easy on all of us and protect
our young brothers and sisters.

Tomb of Prophet Ebrahim (upon him be peace)

This is the tomb of Ebrahim (upon him be peace)
which is built directly above his actual grave
which is below ground. On the left side is the
window from the Jewish synagogue which is built
right next to the mosque. This place is a source
of great friction between Muslims and Jews and
is heavily guarded.
Ebrahim (upon him be peace) is mentioned by
name 69 times in the Quran. He is known as
‘Khalil-ullah’, the friend of Allah. Ebrahim
(upon him be peace) is considered the
Patriarch of the three great monotheistic faiths,
Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
Almighty Allah has declared in the Quran in
Surah al-Imran: “O People of the Scripture
(Jews and Christians)! Why do you dispute
about Abraham, while the Torah and the
Gospel were not revealed till after him? Have
you then no sense? Verily, you are those who
have disputed about that of which you have no
knowledge. Why do then dispute concerning
that which you have no knowledge? It is Allah
Who knows, and you know not. Abraham was
neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a
true Muslim Hanifan (Islamic Monotheism), to
worship none but Allah Alone and he was not
of the polytheists (he joined none in worship
with Allah). Verily, among mankind who have
the best claim to Abraham are those who
followed him, and this Prophet (Muhammad)
and those who have believed (Muslims). And
Allah is the Wali (Protector and Helper) of the
believers.” [3:65-68]
Ebrahim (upon him be peace), along with his
eldest son Ismail (upon him be peace) rebuilt
the Ka’bah in Makkah, carrying the stones with
their own hands.
Yahya bin Said bin al−Musayyub said,
“Ebrahim, may Allah bless him and grant him
peace, was the first to give hospitality to the
guest and the first person to be circumcised
and the first person to trim the moustache and
the first person to see grey hair. He said, ‘O
Lord! What is this?’ Allah the Blessed, the
Exalted, said, ‘It is dignity, Ebrahim.’ He said,
‘lord, increase me in dignity!’ “
Ebrahim (upon him be peace) died at the age
of 175.

GARDING THE TONGUE

Allaah Says in the Quran what means: "And why, when you heard it, did you not say: 'It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You, [O Allaah]; this is a great slander?'" [Quran 24:16]

Backbiting & Slander Defined

Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention )  once asked: "Do you know what backbiting is?" His companions  may  Allaah  be  pleased  with  them replied: "Allaah and His Messenger know best." He  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) then said: "It is to say something about your brother that he would dislike." Someone asked: "But what if what is said is true?" The Messenger of Allaah  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) replied: "If what you say about him is true, then you have backbitten him, but if it is not true then you have slandered him." [Muslim]

Islam is a religion of peace, love and compassion. Lies, suspicion, backbiting, slander and gossip are totally alien to Islam. In fact, they are considered amongst the most destructive of major sins. This is so because these sins sow enmity and discord among the Muslim Ummah (nation) and lead to its destruction. They cause hostilities between people of the same household, and between neighbours, friends and relatives.

Islam demands that our relationship with mankind be one of sincerity and responsibility. It should be one where we have respect for the honour, reputation and privacy of others. Islam teaches us that we are not only held accountable for our attitudes and actions, but also for anything over which we have control or influence in our society or the world around us.

Allaah has Forbidden the Believers from Backbiting

Allaah states in the Quran (what means): "O you who have believed! Avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption is sin. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allaah; indeed, Allaah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful." [Quran 49:12]

If we were to reflect deeply over this example, it would be enough to keep us away from backbiting!

Backbiting and Slander are Great Sins and Cannot be Treated with Indifference

The Quran Says (what means): "When you received it with your tongues and said with your mouths that of which you had no knowledge and thought it was insignificant while it was, in the sight of Allaah, tremendous." [Quran 24:15]

Many of us backbite and gossip without thinking. We think it is a minor matter, however, Allaah reminds us to be careful, for even though we think we are doing something small, it is in fact very large in the sight of Allaah!

Allaah Teaches Us to Speak Out Against Slander and Try to Put a Stop to It

Allaah Says (what means): "And why, when you heard it, did you not say: 'It is not for us to speak of this. Exalted are You, [O Allaah]; this is a great slander?'" [Quran 24:16]

Many people are so busy spreading the slander they hear that they do not even stop to consider whether it is true or not.

Satan Wishes that We Use Our Tongues to Create Conflict and Hatred

Allaah Says (what means): "And tell My servants to say that which is best. Indeed, Satan induces [dissension] among them. Indeed, Satan is ever, to mankind, a clear enemy." [Quran 17:53]

Are we falling into Satan's trap? We can all analyse ourselves to see if this is the case. Let's now compare that to what Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) said about backbiting:

Allaah states in the Quran (what means): "There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allaah an excellent pattern…" [Quran 33:21]

We Should Guard Our Tongue from Sins and Use Our Limbs in Acts of Obedience

Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "He who protects his tongue from unlawful utterances and his private parts from illegal sexual intercourse, I shall guarantee him entrance into Paradise." [Al-Bukhaari & Muslim]

The Best Muslim Defined

Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) was once asked: "Who is the best Muslim?" He  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) replied: "He is the one from whom Muslims are safe from the evil of his tongue and hands." [Muslim]

Deriding people in their presence by making negative facial expressions or by hand gestures while they are unaware is also a form of backbiting.

We Need to Beware of the Slipping of Our Tongues

Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "When man wakes up in the morning each day, all his body parts warn his tongue saying: ‘Fear Allaah with regards to us, for we are under your mercy; if you are upright, we will be upright and if you are crooked, we will be crooked.’" [At-Tirmithi]

Summary

Backbiting and slander are so widespread that they have become the topic of people’s meetings and an avenue for expressing their anger, misgivings and jealousy. Those who indulge in backbiting are oblivious of the fact that they are only harming themselves. This is because on the Day of Resurrection, both the wrongdoer and the wronged will stand before Allaah, the Just Judge. Allaah will then give the wronged person from the good deeds of the person who wronged him by backbiting or other injustices.

Some situations allow us to inform others of what someone has done. We are permitted to inform the authorities when someone does injustice to us or others. We are permitted to inform someone who can prevent a perpetrator from committing further vice. It is also permissible for us to tell whoever seeks our advice about a person for business dealings or marriage. In this case we are allowed reveal only as much as necessary about the person so that the enquirer will not feel deceived. All these forms of speaking about others are lawful.

Islam teaches us that if people are being ridiculed or backbitten in our presence, we should defend their honour. If we neglect doing so, we risk depriving ourselves of the ever-needed help and mercy from Allaah.

Prophet Muhammad  sallallaahu  `alayhi  wa  sallam ( may  Allaah exalt his mention ) said: "If a man's Muslim brother is slandered in his presence, and he is capable of defending him and does so, Allaah will defend him in this world and in the next. But if he fails to defend him, Allaah will destroy him in this world and the next." [Al-Baghawi]

What will we do the next time we are tempted to backbite, or if we hear slander in our presence? The choice is ours.

Today the soil in under your feet. Tomorrow it may be over you. Pray before you are prayed upon.

Narrated Abu Huraira: I heard Allah's Apostle
saying, "If there was a river at the door of anyone
of you and he took a bath in it five times a day
would you notice any dirt on him?" They said, "Not
a trace of dirt would be left." The Prophet added,
"That is the example of the five prayers with which
Allah blots out (annuls) evil deeds." (Sahih Al
Bukhari Volume 1, Book 10, Hadith # 506)

Backbiting is one of the major sins in Islam-A Reminder(myself First)

Today we’re going to ask you to do something difficult. Very difficult. Some might say impossible….

In fact we’re fairly sure 90% of people reading this won’t be able to do this. Hopefully we’re wrong. And Allah knows best.

Backbiting is a MAJOR sin and every single person reading this message has probably at some point in their life back bitten someone, so firstly let’s quickly address the definition of backbiting from the greatest source we have.

Abu Dharr once asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): O Messenger of Allah, what is gheebah? He replied: It is to mention about your brother that which he detests. Abu Dharr said: O Messenger of Allah, what if that which is mentioned of him should actually be in him? He replied: Know that when you mention that which is in him, you have committed his gheebah, and when you mention that which is not in him, then you have slandered him.

Even listening to backbiting is a sin

Prophet Muhammad (s) once said to Imam Ali: O Ali! When someone hears the backbiting of his Muslim brother committed in his presence, yet he does not rally to his assistance despite being capable of doing so, God shall humiliate him in the world and in the Hereafter

So now we’ve addressed the definition let us add a few more important points.

Did you know backbiting is more of a sin than adultery. You know why? When you commit adultery you can ask Allah for forgiveness and Allah can forgive you but when you backbite someone Allah cannot forgive you unless the person you spoke ill of forgives you first.

The Prophet once gave counsel to Abu Dharr, saying: O Abu Dharr! Beware of backbiting, for backbiting is graver than adultery. Abu Dharr (r) said: Why is that so, O Messenger of Allah? He (s) replied: That is because when a man commits adultery and then repents to God, God accepts his repentance. However, backbiting is not forgiven until forgiven by its victim.

So what shall we do? The choice is actually simple but very difficult. It’s a real battle of confronting our ego and pride and showing humility.

We need to start asking people for forgiveness. We need to approach people with humility, whether it’s a phone call, a text message, an email but ideally should be a direct communication between you and the person you want to approach. Yes it’s difficult but not impossible. Ask for their forgiveness and when they forgive you, you’ll feel lighter, more relieved. If you think this is beyond you, you’re wrong. You can do it.

Imagine the alternative? You’re now standing in front of Allah and your account is about to begin. You look to your right and you feel happy looking at all your good deeds. Suddenly your good deeds start vanishing and you’re panicking. The good deeds are going to all the people you have backbitten against, your father, brother, sister, mother, wife, friend, cousin, work colleague.

So start now, have a plan. Speak to 1 person a week and ask for their forgiveness. Maybe they will also ask for your forgiveness. You may look small in their eyes but you’ll look BIG in Allah’s
You can do it.

Mosque of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)

This is the place where the Caliph Umar (may
Allah be pleased with him) performed salat after
the conquest of Jerusalem in 638 CE. The
Patriarch of Jerusalem was showing Umar (may
Allah be pleased with him) around the Church of
the Holy Sepulchre during which the time for
salat occurred. The Patriarch offered a place for
him to pray in the church but Umar (may Allah
be pleased with him) refused, explaining to the
Patriarch, “Had I prayed inside the church, the
Muslims coming after me would take possession
of it, saying that I had prayed in it.” Tradition
has it that he picked up a stone, threw it outside
and prayed at the spot it landed. The present
Mosque of Umar (or Masjid-e-Umar) was built
over this place by Salahuddin Ayyubi’s son
Afdhal Ali in 1193 CE.
At the time when the Muslims first conquered
Jerusalem, the Jews had long been banned
from Jerusalem and the surrounding areas by
the Christian rulers. Umar (may Allah be
pleased with him) agreed with Sophronius (the
Patriarch of Jerusalem) that the Jews would
not be permitted to reside but later revoked
this arrangement. Umar (may Allah be pleased
with him) invited 70 Jewish families from
Tiberias to settle in Jerusalem, allowing them
to also build a synagogue.
Several eminent Companions of the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be on him)
settled in Jerusalem, drawn by the holiness of
the city. Ubaidah ibn al-Samit (may Allah be
pleased with him), one of the leading experts in
the Quran, became the first qadi (Islamic
judge) of Jerusalem.
A copy of the Covenant which Umar (may Allah
be pleased with him) had drawn up giving
assurances of safety to the (non-Muslim)
people of Jerusalem is displayed in the
mosque.
This mosque is not to be confused with the
Dome of the Rock which is sometimes
mistakenly referred to as the Mosque of Umar.
There is also a small mosque adjacent to the
Al-Aqsa Mosque known as the Mosque of
Umar.

Jariah for you and me..In'shaa'Allah.

Jabal Mukabbir

This region, in south-eastern Jerusalem, is
known as Jabal Mukabbir. According to local
sources, it is named after Umar (may Allah be
pleased with him), the second caliph of the
Islamic Caliphate, who cried Allahu Akbar at this
site when he came to take the city.
When the Muslims surrounded Jerusalem in
638 CE, the inhabitants said they would
surrender the city only if the Muslim ruler
himself – Umar, the second successor or
“Caliph,” of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be
upon him) came to them. So Umar (may Allah
be pleased with him) travelled by camel from
Damascus, Syria to Jerusalem in the Holy
Land. As he approached the city, his servant
became weary, so he ordered his servant to
ride the steed while he walked it by the reins.
When they entered Jerusalem, records indicate
it very well could have been Easter, the people
of the city mistook the servant for the Caliph.
When corrected, they couldn’t believe that this
man in tattered and dirty clothes, leading on
foot his servant who rode his steed, was the
ruler of this new people who were conquering
the Persian and Roman Empires, the greatest
empires the world had ever seen, with such
speed that had never been seen before.
St. Sophronius, Christian Patriarch of
Jerusalem, greeted Umar (may Allah be
pleased with him) with a set of fresh regal
clothes and insisted he wear them instead of
the dirty rags he was wearing. According to
the Greek chronicler Theophilus of Edessa
(695-785CE), Umar (may Allah be pleased with
him) refused saying, “It is not right for a man
to take from another what God has not
decreed for him, for God has given to each and
every one of humanity from His Divine
knowledge, and he who desires to receive
something from his companion exceeding that,
does so against God.” The Christians of the
city were outraged and Umar (may Allah be
pleased with him) sensed that they found it
humiliating to concede the city to someone
who looked so base and common so he
compromised. Theophilus further records from
Umar (may Allah be pleased with him),
“Because you request it of me, and have
shown me such great honour, please lend me
these clothes and I will wear them while you
wash mine. When mine are returned, I will
return these clothes to you.”
Michael the Syrian, 12th Century Patriarch of
the Syriac Orthodox Church, says about Umar
(may Allah be pleased with him), “He was
certainly just and removed from greed, to the
degree that from all the empire that the Arabs
ruled, that is, from all the wealth and treasures
of the Romans and Persians, he took nothing
for himself. He did not change the simplicity of
his habits, not even the piece of hide that was
placed under him when he rode by camel and
that he used for sitting on the ground or
sleeping on.”

The First Crime on Earth.

Allah the Almighty says:
“And tell them accurately the story of the two sons
of Adam. When the two offered their sacrifices, the
offering of the one was accepted but that of the
other was not accepted.
The latter said, "I will kill you. "
The other answered, "Allah accepts the offerings of
the pious people only.
*1 Even if you stretch your hand to kill me, I shall
not lift my hand to kill you,” *2 for I fear Allah, the
Lord of the Universe; I would rather prefer that you
should bear the burden of my sin as well as of
your own sin, *3 and become a dweller of hell; this
is the just retribution of the iniquity of the
aggressors." Even after this his evil soul prompted
him to slay his brother without the slightest
compunction; so he killed him and became one of
the losers. Then Allah sent a raven which began to
scratch the ground to show him how he might hide
the corpse of his brother. Seeing this, he cried,
"Woe be to me! I have not been able to do even as
this raven has done and so devise a plan of hiding
the corpse of my brother." *4 After this he became
very remorseful (regretful) of what he had done.
(Glorious Quran, Al-Maeda, 5:27-31)
==============================
*1 That is, "It is no fault of mine if your sacrifice
has not been accepted; it is because you lack
piety. You should, therefore, try to foster piety in
yourself instead of making an attempt at slaying
me."
*2 It does not mean: "If you attempt to kill me, 1
will sit with folded hands before you, ready to be
killed without any resistance." What it means is:
"You may cherish evil intentions of murdering me,
but I will not you may make schemes for my
murder but I will do nothing to forestall you, even
after knowing that you are making preparation for
my murder." In this connection, it should be
understood clearly that it is not virtue to offer
oneself for murder, nor is it a virtue to refrain from
resisting an aggressive attack. True virtue is that
one should not plan the murder of an enemy
though he might be in search of an opportunity to
kill the one. A virtuous man would rather prefer,
like the noble son of Adam, that the enemy might
be the aggressor and not he.
*3 That is, "I would rather prefer that you alone
should be guilty of the sin of cherishing evil
intentions of slaying me than that I should also be
guilty of the same. Thus you shall bear the burden
of your own sin of aggression as well as of the
injury that I might inflict on you in self-defense."
*3 Thus Allah warned the erring son of Adam of his
ignorance and folly through a raven. And when
once he became aware of the fact that the raven
was better equipped for hiding the dead body, he
was not only filled with remorse on this account
but also began to feel that he had done an evil
deed by slaying his brother. This is implied in:
"After this he became very remorseful of what he
had done "

Maqam of Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him)

This is the maqam of Salman Farsi (may Allah
be pleased with him), one of the most famous of
the Companions of the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be on him) and a great
example of a seeker of truth. It marks a place
where he once stayed and is located on the
Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
Salman Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him)
grew up in Isfahan in Persia into a very rich
and respectable family. He was initially a
devotee of the Magian religion (fire
worshippers). One day his father sent him to a
village. On the way he passed by a church
from which he heard the Christians praying. He
was astonished and remarked to himself, “This
is better than our religion”. He asked the
Christians about the origins of their faith and
was told that it was in ash-Sham (Greater
Syria). Upon returning he narrated his
experience to his father who became upset and
imprisoned him in the house.
He managed to escape and joined a caravan to
Syria where he sought out the leading bishop,
became a Christian and entered into his
service in the church. He however, found the
bishop to be corrupt and exposed his practises
after the bishop’s death. The bishop was
replaced by a pious man who was greatly
devoted to worship day and night. After his
death, Salman attached himself to various
Christian religious figures, in Mosul, Nisibis and
elsewhere. The last one had told him about the
appearance of a Prophet in the land of the
Arabs who would have a reputation for strict
honesty, one who would accept a gift but
would never consume charity (sadaqah) for
himself. He would also have the seal of the
Prophets on his back.
Salman paid money to join a group of Arabs
back to their homeland but was betrayed by
them and sold into slavery to a Jew who in
turn sold him again to another Jew of the
Banu Quraiza. He was taken to Yathrib
(Madinah) which he recognized to be the place
where the awaited Prophet would come. He
was put to work there, cultivating and taking
care of the palm trees.
One day Salman was on top of a palm tree
when he heard someone talking with his
master below about the emigration from
Makkah of a man who claimed to be a
Prophet. Salman was excited by the news and
asked his master to tell him more but his
master violently hit him and told him to get
back to work.
That evening Salman took some dates and
went to Quba, where the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be on him) was staying and
offered the dates as sadaqah. The Prophet
ordered his companions to eat but he himself
did not eat of it. Salman gathered some more
dates and when the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be on him) left Quba for
Madinah he went to him and said: “I noticed
that you did not eat of the sadaqah I gave.
This however is a gift for you.” Of this gift of
dates, both he and his companions ate.
Salman left and returned soon after where he
found the Prophet (peace and blessings of
Allah be on him) in al-Baqi. He greeted him
and turned to see up his back. The Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be on him),
knowing what he wanted threw his garment
over his shoulder and Salman saw the seal of
the Prophets, exactly as it had been described
to him. Salman kissed him and embraced
Islam.

Maqam of Prophet Dawud (upon him be peace)

This is believed to be the tomb of the Prophet
Dawud (upon him be peace) who was the father
of the Prophet Sulaiman (upon him be peace).
Some historians believe that this is not his tomb
but a ‘maqam’, to mark the place where he once
stayed.
Dawud (upon him be peace) is mentioned by
name 16 times in the Holy Quran.
Dawud (upon him be peace) ruled the Children
of Israel [Banu Israil] for forty years, seven
years in Hebron (al-Khalil) and thirty-three in
Jerusalem, which became known as the City of
Dawud.
According to Jewish and Christian belief (ref:
Who’s Who in the Bible by Peter Calvocoressi),
Dawud (upon him be peace) [David] committed
adultery with Bathsheba, the wife of Uriah the
Hittite. Bathsheba became pregnant and David
sent for Uriah, who was with the Israelite army
at the siege of Rabbah, so that he might lie
with his wife and so conceal the identity of the
child’s father. Uriah refused to do so while his
companions were in the field of battle and
David sent him back to Joab, the commander,
with a message instructing him to abandon
Uriah on the battlefield, “that he may be struck
down, and die.“ In Islam, Dawud (upon him be
peace) is regarded as one of the great
Prophets, to whom the Zabur (Psalms) were
revealed by Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He).
The Islamic tradition includes many elements
from the Jewish/Christian history of David,
such as his battle with the giant Goliath, but
completely rejects the Biblical portrayal of
him as an adulterer and murderer.
Dawud (upon him be peace) was the first
person skilled in making armour from iron.
Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) mentions in
Surah Saba in the Holy Quran: “And certainly
We gave Dawud bounty from Us (and said), ‘O
mountains! Repeat Our praises with him, and
the birds you too’. And we softened for him
iron, (saying) ‘Make wide coats of mail, and
measure well the links and do righteous deeds.
Surely I am Seer of what you do.” [34:10-11]
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be
on him) said, “The most loved Salat (prayer) in
the sight of Allah is the Salat of Dawud and
the most loved of Saum (fasting) in the sight
of Allah is the Saum of Dawud. He used to
sleep for the first half of the night and offer
prayer for one-third of it and sleep (again) for
one-sixth of it. And he used to observe fast on
alternate days. And when he encountered an
enemy he never fled.” [Bukhari]
Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) had given
him a very sweet voice such as not had been
given to anyone before. When he used to recite
the Zabur (Psalms) human beings, jinn, birds
and animals stood devotedly listening to him.

THE PROPHETIC MEDICINE

Abu Hurayrah (May Allah be pleased with him)
narrates that The Prophet (peace be upon him)
said:
"There is no disease that Allah has created, except
that He also has created its remedy." (Bukhari 7#
582)
• BLACK SEED (NIGELA SEEDS)
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him)
said in his divine wisdom about the Black seed
"Use this Black seed, it has a cure for every disease
except death". (Bukhari)
• SIWAK
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said,
"Use the siwaak for indeed it purifies the mouth
and is pleasing to The Lord." (Ibn Maajah #288)
• COSTUS: (INDIAN ALOE WOOD)
Narrated Umm Qais, (Allah be pleased with her):
I went to Allah's Apostle along with a a son of
mine whose palate and tonsils I had pressed with
my finger as a treatment for a (throat and tonsil)
disease. The Prophet said, "Why do you pain your
children by pressing their throats! Use Oud Al-Hindi
(Indian aloe wood) for it cures seven diseases, one
of which is pleurisy. It is used as a snuff for
treating throat and tonsil disease and it is inserted
into one side of the mouth of one suffering from
pleurisy."
(Bukhari, Book of Medicine #5343)
• SENNA
It was narrated from Asma' bint 'Umays that the
Messenger of Allah asked her: "What do you use as
a laxative?" She said: "Spurge." He said: "Hot,
hot." She said: Then I used senna as a laxative
and the Prophet said: "If there were anything in
which there is a cure for death, it would be senna."
[Al-Tirmidhi; 6/254]
• DATES
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (May Allah be pleased with
him) Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said,
"The ajwah dates come from Paradise and contain
a cure for poison; truffles are a kind of manna and
their juice is a medicine for the eye." (Tirmidhi #
1127)
Narrated Sad (May Allah be pleased with him) I
heard Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) saying,
"Whoever takes seven 'Ajwa dates in the morning
will not be effected by magic or poison on that
day." (Bukhari, Vol7, Bk 71, #671)
• TALBEENAH
Talbeenah is a broth that is made from two
spoonfuls of barley flour with bran, then a cup of
water is added to that and it is cooked over a low
fire for five minutes.
It was narrated from Aisha (may Allah be pleased
with her) that she would order that talbeenah be
made for the sick and the one who was mourning a
death, and she used to say: I heard the Messenger
of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) say: “Talbeenah soothes the heart of the sick
and takes away some of the grief.”
(Bukhari #5365; Muslim #2216)
• HENNA/ MEHNDI
Hazrat Umme Salma (May Allah be pleased with
her) narrates: “In the life of Prophet Muhammed
(peace be upon him), no injury or thorn piercing
was treated on which Henna was not
applied.” (Tirmidi, Ahmad)
“Whenever somebody came to Prophet Muhammad
(peace be upon him) with complaints of headache,
he directed him to undergo cupping and whosoever
complained of pain in legs, was advised to apply
Henna.” (Bukhari, Abu Dawood)
• TRUFFLES/ MUSHROOMS
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“The truffle is among the Mann (Allah’s favours)
and its water cures the eye” (Bukhari). It was said
that among the Manna sent down by Allah to the
Children of Israel were several plants that grow in
the wild without effort. Some scholars consider
truffles to be a kind of Manna, although the word
Manna in the Quran refers to the sweet dew that
descended from the trees.
• HONEY
Honey is deeply respected in Islamic medicine as a
powerful cure. Aside from tasting wonderful, honey
is nourishing, rich in vitamins, minerals, and amino
acids, eases allergies and can be used topically to
disinfect wounds and cure skin problems. The
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself
took honey medicinally, saying “Make use of the
two cures: honey and the Qur’an” (Ibn Majah). In
another hadith narrated by Abu Said Al-Khudri
(May Allah be pleased with him) A man came to
the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and
said, “My brother has some abdominal trouble.”
The Prophet said to him “Let him drink honey.”
The man came for the second time and the
Prophet said to him, “Let him drink honey.” He
came for the third time and the Prophet said, “Let
him drink honey.” He returned again and said, “I
have done that ‘ The Prophet then said, “Allah has
said the truth, but your brother’s abdomen has
told a lie. Let him drink honey.” So he made him
drink honey and he was cured.” [Bukhari]
• ZAMZAM WATER
The prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The water
of Zam- Zam has a cure for all ailments." (Dailami)
It is reported from Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah
be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be
upon him) said, The water of Zamzam is for
whatever it is drunk for. (Ibn Majah)
• KOHL ITHMID (SULFIDE OF ANTIMONY)
Ibn Abas (May Allah bd pleased with him) said:
Whenever the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon
him) used to apply Kohl, he would use it thrice in
the right eye; beginning with it and finishing with it
and twice in the left eye.” (Tirmidhi)
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was
reported to have said: "Use Ithmid (Antimony),
because it clears the eye and grows the
eyelashes". (Ibn Majah)
• RUQYAH (DAMM)
Ruqyah means reciting Qur’an and saying
supplications reported from the Prophet (peace be
upon him) over the sick seeking to be cured; in
addition to other good and lawful supplications.
This is one of the great Ruqyahs. The Prophet
(peace be upon him) said to the man who
complained to him of pain in his body: Put your
hand on the area of pain in your body and say,
‘Bismillah [In the Name of Allah]” three times, then
say seven times, ‘`Audhu bi `izzat-illaah wa
qudratihi min sharri ma ajid wa uhaadhir [I seek
refuge in the Glory and Power of Allah from the evil
of what I feel and worry about].’ This is a means
for healing. Also, one may ask Allah for healing
using good words, such as, “O Allah, cure me of
this disease, cure me of any sickness.”
• HIJAMA (CUPPING)
Anas ibn Maalik (may Allah be pleased with him)
reported that the Messenger (Peace be upon him)
said, "Indeed the best of remedies you have is
cupping (hijama)…" [Bukhari #5371]
In the narration reported by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud
(may Allah be pleased with him) the angels said,
"Oh Muhammad, order your Ummah (nation) with
cupping (hijama)." [Tirmidhi #3479]
• OLIVE & OLIVE OIL
Olives have been mentioned seven times in the
Qur'an and their health benefits have been
propounded in Prophetic medicine.
Hazrat Sayyed Al-Ansari narrates that the Prophet
(Pbuh) said “Eat the olive oil and massage it over
your bodies since it is a holy (mubarak)
tree.” (Tirmidhi, Ibn Maja)
Abu Hurairah narrates that the Prophet (peace be
upon him) stated: “Consume the olive oil and apply
it (locally), since there is cure for 70 diseases in it,
one of them is leprosy.” (Abu Naim)
Praise be to Allah, Knower of all ailments and their
hidden cures. May peace and salutations be upon
His final prophet Muhammad... Aameen!
Spread the knowledge so it will be Sadqa-e-Jaaria
(everlasting charity) for you and for me...
In'Shaa'Allah.

Tomb of Maryam (upon her be peace)

Here is the tomb of Maryam (upon her be peace)
[Mary], the mother of Isa (upon him be peace)
[Jesus]. It is located in a church at the foot of
the Mount of Olives, close to the old city of
Jerusalem.
In Islam, Maryam (upon her be peace) is
venerated as a righteous woman and is the
only woman mentioned by name in the Quran.
The 19th surah of the Quran is named after
her and she is mentioned more times in the
Quran than in the entire New Testament.
Maryam (upon her be peace)’s story in the
Quran, begins while she is still in her mother’s
womb. The mother of Mary said, “O my Lord! I
do dedicate into Thee what is in my womb for
Thy special service. So accept this of me for
Thou hearest and knowest all things.” [3:35] .
When Mary was delivered, she said, “O my
Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female
child!” [3:36]. She had expected her baby to be
a boy who would grow up to be a scholar or
religious leader. The verse continues “…and
God knew best what she brought forth — ‘And
no wise is the male like the female. I have
named her Maryam, and I commend her and
her offspring to Thy protection from Satan, the
Rejected.’“
The Quran further mentions the qualities of
Maryam (upon him be peace), declaring her
(uniquely along with Isa a.s.) to be a Sign of
God to mankind [23:50]; as one who “guarded
her chastity” [66:20]; “an obedient one” [66:12]
; “a Chosen One” [3:42]; “a Purified One” [3:42]
; “a Truthful one” [5:75]; her child conceived
through “a Word from God” [3:45]; and “exalted
above all women of The Worlds/
Universes” [3:42].
The first tomb was cut in the hillside here in
the 1st century CE. By the 5th century, an
upper chapel had also been built. This was
destroyed by the Persians in 614, rebuilt by the
Crusaders but again destroyed by Salahuddin
Ayyubi in 1187. He left the crypt, however,
largely intact.
In the south western wall beside the tomb is a
mihrab (indicating the direction of Makkah)
that was installed after the conquest of
Jerusalem by Salahuddin Ayyubi.

CRACK IN THE MOON PROVES THE MIRACLE OF PROPHET MUHAMMAD'S; "SPLITTING THE MOON"... READ ON.. THIS IS AMAZING.

Recent scientific research has confirmed the
miracle of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him
and his holy progeny) regarding “The Splitting of
the Moon”.
It has been proven through a picture captured by
NASA which was published throughout the world.
The photo from NASA using Apollo 10 and Apollo
11 shows a clear indication (a line) that the Moon
was split in past.
The report, spread on scientific foundations in
different global parts, said that the picture which
illustrates splitting of moon confirms that the
moon was split into two halves during its
geological age. The report said the scientists were
unable to give any scientific explanation for
happening of ‘moon splitting’ as any such splitting
was never happened to any heavenly body prior to
what happened to the moon. The geologists assert
that it is impossible that such a line appears save
the moon was split into two halves and then it
was rejoined.
This miracle of the Prophet (peace be upon him) is
mentioned in the beginning of Sura Al-Qamar (the
moon) about the split of the moon [54:1] ‘The
Hour has drawn near, and the moon has been cleft
asunder (the people of Makkah requested Prophet
Muhammad to show them a miracle, so he showed
them the splitting of the moon)’.
Narrated Ibn Masud: During the lifetime of Allah’s
Apostle the moon was split into two parts; one
part remained over the mountain, and the other
part went beyond the mountain. On that, Allah’s
Apostle said, “Witness this miracle.” (Bukhari; 60;
387)
As stated one of the greatest miracles of Prophet
Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was splitting the
moon. This amazing miracle, which couldn’t be
denied even by the unbelievers occurred in the
following way:
The miracle of the splitting of the moon occurred
before the migration to Medina upon the demands
of the polytheists with the permission of Allah and
it was shown by the Prophet Muhammad (Peace
be upon him) as narrated by many companions
like Anas b. Malik, Imam Ali, Huzayfa b. Yaman,
Abdullah b. Mas’ud, Abdullah b. Abbas, Abdullah b.
Umar, Abdullah b. Amr b. As, Jubayr b. Mut’im
(May Allah be pleased with all of them).
Among Quraish polytheists, Walid b. Mughira, Abu
Jahl. As b. Wail, As b. Hisham, Aswad b. Abdi
Yaghus, Aswad b. Muttalib, Zama b. Aswad, Nadr
b. Harith and others said to the prophet
Muhammad (Peace be upon him):
“If you truly are a Prophet that has been appointed
by Allah, then split the moon in half. Let it be in
such a way that one half will appear over the
Mount Abu Qubais and the other half will be seen
over Mount Quayqian.”
The prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
asked:
“If I do it, will you become Muslims?”
The polytheists answered: “Yes, we will.”
It was the 14th night, when it was full moon. The
Messenger of Allah stood supplicating to Allah.
Allah the Almighty inspired him to sign towards the
moon with his finger. When Almighty Allah let the
moon split in half, one half standing over Mount
Abu Qubais and the other half over Mount
Quayqian, the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon
him) shouted at Muslims:
“O Abu Salama b. Abdulasad! Arqam b. Abi’l
Arqam! Bear witness!
And to the polytheists, he said, “Bear witness! So
and so!
However, the polytheists said “This is one of the
spells of Abu Kabsha’s Son.” “The son of Abu
Kabsha cast a spell on you!” They said
“Muhammad cast a spell on us!”
Some of them also said:
“If Muhammad had cast a spell on us then, He
couldn’t have cast a spell on everyone! Let us ask
the wayfarers who came from the surrounding
areas if they saw what we saw.”
They asked the travelers, who replied:
“Yes! We also did see the moon in that state! We
saw the moon as split! They informed that the
moon was split. However, the polytheists, who
couldn’t deny the miracle occurred right in front of
their eyes, rejected to be Muslims and to believe by
saying: “This is a prevalent magic!”, they said “Abu
Talib’s orphan affected the sky with his spell!”
Since they couldn’t deny the miracle and since they
couldn’t embrace Islam, they had to name it as
“spell”.

1/447, Ibni Kathir, Tafseer: 4/262, Tirmidhi, 5/398)
