Punishment in islam for having sex before marriage?

The prophet may peace be upon him said that
poeple who commit zina will be punished in hell
'Premarital or extramarital sex - known
as Zina is a major sin in Islam! Allah (swt) warns
Muslims not to even come near it and describes
it as “an abomination and an evil way.”Holy
Quran (17:32)
According to a Hadith it is also considered one
of the worst sins in the eyes of Allah (swt).
The Holy Prophet related a dream in which he
saw a number of sinners were being punished.
The Prophet said: “…We proceeded until we
came across a hole in the ground that resembled
a baking pit, narrow at the top and wide
at the bottom. Babbling and voices were issuing
from it. We looked in and saw naked men and
women. Underneath the pit was a raging
fire;whenever it flared up, the men and women
screamed and rose with it until they almost fell
out of the pit. As it subsided, they returned (to
the bottom). I said: ‘Who are these?’ They said:
‘…The naked men and women who were in the
pit, they are men and women who indulge in
Zina…” (Bukhari)
It is such a serious offence that all things that
lead to Zina, such as being alone
with a member of the opposite sex who you’re
not related to is also forbidden in Islam.
The reason why it’s forbidden in Islam is coz of
the major problems that it can bring into society
such as illegitimate children, spread of disease,
increase in divorce rate, spread of crime, children
not being brought up or cared for properly and
ultimately the break down of the family unit. '
We ask Allah Most High to protect us from the
evil of zina Ameen, ..

Breast Feeding in Islam and its Benefits

Please do give your child the BEST start in life by
breastfeeding him/her in shaa Allah!
Medical benefits of breastfeeding:
Breastfeeding brings great benefits. Allaah has
enjoined breastfeeding in His Book, when He said
(interpretation of the meaning):
“The mothers shall give suck to their children for
two whole years, (that is) for those (parents) who
desire to complete the term of suckling”
[al-Baqarah 2:233]
So Allaah has stated the child’s right to be
breastfed.
Fourteen hundred years after this verse was
revealed, international organizations such as the
World Health Organization have issued statement
after statement calling on mothers to breastfeed
their children, whereas Islam enjoined that fourteen
centuries ago.
The benefits of breastfeeding for the child include
the following:
1 – The mother’s milk is sterile, containing no
germs.
2 – The mother’s milk cannot be imitated by any
milk prepared from the milk of cows, goats or
camels. It is composed in such a way as to meet
the child’s needs day after day, from birth until
weaning.
3 – The mother’s milk contains sufficient amounts
of protein and sugar that suit the infant completely,
whereas the proteins in cow’s, goat’s and buffalo’s
milk are difficult for the child’s stomach to digest,
because they are suited to the offspring of those
animals.
4 – The development of children who are breastfed
is faster and more complete than that of children
who are bottle-fed.
5 – The psychological and emotional bond between
the mother and her child.
6 – The mother’s milk contains various elements
that are essential to the child’s nourishment, in the
right amounts and formats needed by his body,
and in a form that is suited to his ability to digest
and absorb. The nourishing content of the milk is
not fixed; it changes day by day according to the
child’s needs.
7 – The mother’s milk is kept at a suitable
temperature that meets the child’s needs, and can
be given to him at any time.
8 – Breastfeeding is a natural means of
contraception for the mother, and is free of the
complications that may accompany use of birth
control pills, the coil (IUD) or injections.
From Tawdeeh al-Ahkaam, 5/107.
Question :
Assalamualaykom I had a question about : it is
mandatory to do ablution before feeding the child ?
Answer :
All perfect praise be to ALLAH , The Lord of the
Worlds . I testify that there is none worthy of
worship except ALLAH,and that Muhammad is His
slave and Messenger.
Wudhoo'(ablution ) is only required for Salaah
[ prayer ], Tawaaf [circumambulation around the
Ka'bah ], touching the Mus-haf [copy of the
Quran ],or other reason requiring Tahaarah [ritual
purity ]. It is also possible that a person performs
Wudhoo for no reason but to remain upon
Tahaarah .
It is not obligatory that a woman perform Wudhoo
in order to nurse her child . Rather, she should not
do this because there is no Sharee'ah based
evidence regarding it .
Note :
Shaykh Saalih al-Fawzaan (may ALLAH preserve
him )said :
Acts of worship are tawqeefi (I.e., acts of worship
are to be based solely on Quran and Saheeh
Sunnah ,with no room for personal opinion ); it is
not permissible to do any act of worship in terms
of time or place or type of worship except on the
basis of tawqeef and instructions from the Law
giver .
As for the one who introduces something that was
not enjoined by the Lawgiver of acts of worship or
in terms of their place ,time or description , then it
is an innovation (bid ah ).
Al-Muntaqa min Fataawa al-Fawzaan, 16/13
And ALLAH ,may He be Exalted ,Knows Best.
Indeed, Holy Quran = Book and Word of ALLAH
(Subhana Wa Ta'la ) which gives us not only
Guidance but also a Beneficial knowledge of this
world as well as Hereafter . Truly ,if we read Quran
with understanding and implement ALLAH
(Subhana Wa Ta'la ) orders In Shaa ALLAH we will
be successful in both worlds .
Ameen .

VIRTUES OF ZAMZAM WATER

1) There is healing power in Zamzam. Ibn Abbas
(may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him)
said,“The best water on the face of the earth is the
water of Zamzam. In it is complete nourishment
and healing from sickness.” [At-Tabarani]
2) Jaabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says, “I
heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings
of Allah be on him) say: ‘Zamzam is a cure for any
purpose for which it is drunk’.” Another Hadith
states,“If you drink it to quench a thirst, it will do
so, and if you drink it to fill the stomach in place of
food, it will do so, and if you drink it for a cure from
some illness, it will do so.” [It-Haaf]
3) It is sunnah to drink one’s fill of Zamzam water
and to quench one’s thirst. The fuqaha have
mentioned the etiquette that is mustahabb
(recommended) when drinking Zamzam water,
such as facing the Ka’bah, saying Bismillah,
pausing to take a breath three times, drinking one’s
fill, praising Allah after one finishes As regards the
hadeeth of Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with
him), who said, “I gave the Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) Zamzam water to
drink whilst he was standing,” (Bukhaari, 3/492), it
is taken to mean that it is permissible to drink
zamzam whilst standing; showing the utmost
respect. The scholars also recommended that the
person who drinks Zamzam water should sprinkle
some of it on his head, face and chest, make lots of
du’a when drinking it, and to drink it for a purpose
that will benefit him in this world or the next,
because of the hadeeth in which the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“The water of Zamzam is for whatever purpose it is
drunk for.” (Ibn Maajah, 2/1018).
4) It is recommended that people should take some
Zamzam water back with them to their countries,
because it is a cure for those who seek healing.
‘Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her) reported
that she took Zamzam water home with her in
bottles, and said, “The Messenger of Allah (peace
and blessings of Allah be upon him) took some of it
away with him, and he used to pour it on the sick
and give it to them to drink.” (Tirmidhi, 4/37).
5) It was reported in Saheeh Muslim that the
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
said to Abu Dharr, who had stayed near the Ka’bah
and its coverings for forty days and nights with no
food or drink other than (Zamzam): “How long
have you been here?” Abu Dharr said: “I have been
here for thirty days and nights.” The Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,
“Who has been feeding you?” He said, “I have had
nothing but Zamzam water, and I have gotten so
fat that I have folds of fat on my stomach. I do not
feel any of the tiredness or weakness of hunger and
I have not become thin.” The Prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Verily, it is
blessed, it is food that nourishes.” (Muslim, 2473).
6) Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him)
reports that when the Prophet (peace and blessings
of Allah be on him) drank Zamzam he said the
following prayer: “O Allah, grant me beneficial
knowledge, abundant sustenance and a cure from
all diseases.”
The Bible makes a reference of the miracle of
Zamzam when it talks about the passing through
of Ismail (upon him be peace) and his mother
through the valley: “Blessed is the man whose
strength is in Thee; in whose heart are the ways of
them who passing through the valley of Bacca
make it a well.”
[Psalm 84:5-6. Note that the Quran also refers to
Makkah as Bakkah]

Animals are communities like you. -Glorious Quran

Although there are over 50 verses alone in the
Quran speaking about Animals or relating to
Animals (insects, birds etc) and six chapters
named after Animals
• Al-baqarah (The Cow)
• Al-Anaam (The Cattle)
• Al-Nahl (The Bee)
• Al-Naml (The Ant)
• Al-Ankaboot (The spider)
• Al-Feel (The elephant)
The traditions (hadeeth) of the prophet Muhammad
(s.a.w) regarding animal rights are far more
numerous in number and words thus making it not
feasible to count every word or hadeeth like Quran.
Is there another Book of God or religion sharing
this in their Religious book or Word of God (e.g
Quran)?
"There is not an animal on earth, nor a bird that
flies on its wings, but they are communities like
you.". (Qur'an 6:38).
"Seest thou not that it is God Whose praises all
beings in the heavens and on earth do celebrate,
and the birds (of the air) with wings outspread?
Each one knows its own (mode of) prayer and
praise. And God knows well all that they do. (The
Noble Quran, 24:41)"
"Seest thou not that to God bow down in worship
all things that are in the heavens and on earth,-
the sun, the moon, the stars; the hills, the trees,
the animals; and a great number among mankind?
But a great number are (also) such as are fit for
Punishment: and such as God shall disgrace,- None
can raise to honour: for God carries out all that He
wills. (The Noble Quran, 22:18)"

Muharram a month sacred.

Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve
[lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the
day He created the heavens and the earth; of these,
four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do
not wrong yourselves during them. And fight
against the disbelievers collectively as they fight
against you collectively. And know that Allah is
with the righteous [who fear Him].
(Surah At-Tawbah:36)
From out of the four sacred months, Muharram has
been blessed with certain specific virtues:-
Abu Bakr reported that (in the Farewell Address)
Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said:
Time has completed a cycle and come to the state
of the day when Allah created the heavens and the
earth. The year is constituted of twelve months, of
which four are sacred; three of them consecutive,
viz. Dhu'l-Qa'da, Dhu'l- Hijja and Muharram, and
also Rajab….
(Sahih Muslim, Book #016, Hadith #4160)
Prophet (PBUH) was asked about fasting on the
day of 'Ashura (10th of Muharram), whereupon be
said:
“It expiates the sins of the preceding year.”
(Sahih Muslim, Book #006, Hadith #2603)
Narrated Ibn Abbas: When the Prophet arrived at
Medina, the Jews were observing the fast on
'Ashura' (10th of Muharram) and they said, "This
is the day when Moses became victorious over
Pharaoh," On that, the Prophet said to his
companions, "You (Muslims) have more right to
celebrate Moses' victory than they have, so
observe the fast on this day." (Sahih Al Bukhari,
Book #60, Hadith #202)
Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Fasting was observed on the
day of 'Ashura' (i.e. 10th of Muharram) by the
people of the Pre-lslamic Period. But when (the
order of compulsory fasting) in the month of
Ramadan was revealed, the Prophet said, "It is up
to one to fast on it (i.e. day of 'Ashura') or not."
(Sahih Al Bukhari, Book #60, Hadith #28)
Prophet (PBUH) gave the option to fast, so dear
brothers and sisters, we will take advantage of this
sacred month, In Sha Allah.
Jazak Allah Khair.

Beauty of the creation Subhan Allah,

“He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the
Fashioner; to Him belong the best names. Whatever
is in the heavens and earth is exalting Him. And He
is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.”
(Glorious Quran 59:24)
The third stage in creation is taswir, which means
to give shape; here it implies giving something its
final complete shape. In all these three stages
there is no resemblance whatever between Allah's
work and human works. None of human plans is
such as may not have been derived from previous
models and plans. But each of Allah's plans is,
unique and His own original creation. Whatever
man makes, he makes it by combining the
substances created by Allah. He does not bring
anything from non-existence into existence, but
composes and constructs by different methods
whatever is present and available. Contrary to this,
Allah has brought everything from non-existence
into creation, and the substance itself of which He
has made the universe is created by Him. Likewise,
in the matter of giving shape also man is not the
inventor but an imitator, and only a poor imitator.
The real Maker of forms and shapes is Allah, Who
has given a unique and matchless shape to every
species and individual and has never repeated
exactly the same shape or from.
Jazak Allah Khair.

You should treat your daughters and sons equally.

Some people show favouritism in the way they give
gifts to some of their children but not others.
According to the soundest opinion, doing this is
haraam unless there is some legitimate reason,
such as one child being in greater need than the
others due to sickness, being in debt, being
rewarded for having memorized the entire Qur’aan,
being unable to find a job, having a large family,
being a full-time student, etc.
When a father gives something to one of his
children who is in need, he should have the
intention to give similarly to any other children of
his should the need arise.
General proof of this principle may be seen in the
aayah(interpretation of the meaning):
“. . . Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear
Allaah . . .”
[al-Maa’idah 5:8].
Specific evidence is found in the report of al-
Nu’maan ibn Basheer (may Allaah be pleased with
him), whose father brought him to the Messenger
of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon
him) and said:
“I have given this son of mine a slave that I had.”
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of
Allaah be upon him) asked him,
“Did you give all your children a similar gift?”
He said, “No.”
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) said:
“Then take (the gift) back.”
(Reported by al-Bukhaari, see al-Fath, 5/211).
According to another report, the Prophet (peace
and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Fear Allaah and be fair to your children,”
so he went away and took his gift back.
(al-Fath 5/211).
According to a third report, he said,
“Do not ask me to be a witness, for I will not bear
witness to injustice.”
(Saheeh Muslim, 3/1243).
Sons may be given twice as much as daughters, as
in the case of inheritance, according to Imaam
Ahmad, may Allaah have mercy on him (Abu
Dawud, Masaa’il al-Imaam Ahmad, 204; Imaam Ibn
al-Qayyim explained this in more detail in his
footnotes).
But there are some families where fathers do not
fear Allaah, and their favouritism creates hatred
and jealousy among the children.
A father may give one child more because he looks
like his paternal uncles, and give less to another
child because he looks like his maternal uncles; or
he may give more to the children of one wife and
less to the children of another wife; or he may put
one wife’s children in private schools, but not the
other wife’s children.
This will ultimately backfire on him, because in
most cases the one who is deprived in this way will
not respect his father or treat him kindly in the
future.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) asked the man who showed favouritism
to one son,
“Do you not want all your children to respect you
equally?”
(Reported by Imaam Ahmad, 4/269; see also
Saheeh al-Jaami, 1623).
==========================
Can sons be given twice as much as daughters
generally? Or is it just for inheritance?
Answer:
Fair treatment between males and females means
treating them fairly as enjoined by ALLAH in the
verse (interpretation of the meaning):
"ALLAH commands you as regards your children's
(inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that
of two females."
[Al-Nisa' 4:11]
So if you give the male two riyals, give the female
one.
But fairness in spending means giving each one
what he needs.
A female may need clothes worth two hundred
riyals whilst the male needs a hat worth ten riyals.
Whatever the case, give him what he needs and
give her what she needs, such as if one of them
needs to get married, then arrange his marriage
and do not give the others something of equal
value, except those who have reached the age of
marriage - arrange their marriages too. This is the
issue of spending and maintenance.
Fairness in this case means giving each one what
he needs.
As for giving voluntary gifts, fairness means giving
the male twice what you give to the female, as
stated above, as ALLAH(Subhana Wa Ta'la) has
decreed their shares in inheritance to be.

I have found the sweetness of worship in four things

(1) Performing the obligatory acts of worship enjoined by Allah.

(2) Avoiding the things forbidden by Allah.

(3) Enjoining that which is good, seeking the reward of Allah.

(4) Forbidding that which is evil, fearing the wrath of Allah.

Don't use the sharpness of your tongue on the mother who taught you to speak...

The mother’s status in Islam (shariah) cannot be
denied. Allah (Subbhanuwata'alah) has enjoined
that her children should honour her, and He has
forbidden them to disobey her mother; Allah has
ruled that the mother is the most entitled of people
to one’s good company, as it says in the well-
known hadith, when a man said: O Messenger of
Allah, which of the people is most deserving of my
good companionship?
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be
upon him) said: “Your mother, then your mother,
then your mother, then your father, then the next
closest and the next closest.” Narrated by Muslim
(2548).

The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to seek refuge from the jinn as well as from the evil eye until Surah al Falaq and An Naas were revealed. When they were sent down, he utilised them and left other things.
[Tirmidhi #1984, Riyad as-Salihin by Imam an-Nawawi Ch.183 #1014]

‘Uqba ibn ‘Amir reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, “Have you not seen the ayats sent down this night the like of which have never been seen before? ‘Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of Daybreak,’ and ‘Say: I seek refuge with the Lord of mankind.’” (Chapters 113 & 114) [Muslim]

SURAH AN- NAS (MANKIND; CHAPTER 114)

A’isha (May Allah be pleased with her) reported that whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) became sick, he would recite Mu’awwidhat (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Naas) and then blow his breath over his body. When he became seriously ill, I used to recite (these two Surahs) and rub his hands over his body hoping for its blessings.
[Sahih al-Bukhari 6:61 #535]

‘Uqbah Ibn ‘Amir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said ‘No seeker of refuge can seek refuge with anything like these two’ [Abu Dawud]

became stuck to his shoes by the drying blood.
When Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
was outside the city walls, he almost collapsed.
They went a short distance outside of the town and
stopped in a vineyard that belonged to two
Meccans who were there at the time.
The owners of the vineyard had seen how he had
been persecuted in Mecca and on this occasion
they felt some sympathy toward their fellow citizen.
They had his wounds dressed, and let him rest and
recuperate until he felt strong enough to resume
his journey across the rough terrain between Ta’if
and Mecca. It was there that he had the famous
encounter with the angel of the mountains.
We have the following account from `Â’ishah, the
wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), when she
asked him: “Was there ever a day that was worse
for you than the Battle of Uhud?”
The Prophet replied:
Your tribe (Quraysh) had troubled me a lot, and the
most severe of this trouble was on the day of
'Aqaba when I presented myself to Ibn `Abd Yalâyil
b. `Abd Kulâl and he did not respond to my
request. So I departed, overwhelmed with sorrow,
and proceeded on, without rest until I found myself
at Qarn al-Tha`âlib where I lifted my head towards
the sky to see a cloud shading me unexpectedly. I
looked up and saw within it Gabriel. He called me
saying: “Allah has heard what your people have
been saying to you, and how they have disputed
you. Allah has sent the Angel of the Mountains to
you so that you may order him to do whatever you
wish to these people.”
The Angel of the Mountains called and greeted me,
and then said: “O Muhammad! Order what you
wish. If you like, I will cause the two mountains to
fall upon them.”
I said: “No, for I hope that Allah will bring forth
from their progeny people who will worship Allah
Alone, and none besides Him.” [Sahîh al-Bukhârî
(4/81, 8/168). Sahîh Muslim (3/1420)]
We have only sent you as a means of mercy for the
entire world'. (Glorious Quran, 21:107)

Paying Attention when the Imam is Giving the Khutba on the Day of juma'a........

related to me from Malik from Abu'z Zinad from al-Araj from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Even saying to your companion 'Listen' while the imam is giving the khutba on the day of jumua, is to speak foolishly."
..Ibn Shihab said, "The imam coming out stops prayer and his speaking stops conversation."

Towards understanding few verses of Glorious Quran.

The Revelation of ALLAH(the Quran)is not an
occasion of distress, but is a Gift of Mercy from
ALLAH Most Gracious.
ALLAH's revelation is not an occasion for man's
distress; it is a Message to show that ALLAH the
All-Knowing sits on the throne of Mercy and guides
all affairs. There is no god but He; to Him belong
all the Most Beautiful Names.
Surah Ta Ha
Chapter 20:1-8
Bismillah Ar Rahman Ar Raheem
"Ta Ha. We have not sent down the Quran to thee
to be(an occasion)for thy distress, but only as an
admonition to those who fear (ALLAH)- a
revelation from Him Who created the earth and the
heavens on high. "
[Surah Ta Ha 20:1-4]
ALLAH's revelation may cause some human
troubles for two reasons:
(1) it checks man's selfishness and narrowness of
view, and
(2) it annoys the wicked and causes them to jeer
and persecute.
These are mere incidental things, due to man's own
shortcomings. As far as the trouble is concerned,
the Revelation is meant to give a warning, so that
persecutors may be reclaimed, (and of course for
men of faith it is comfort and consolation, though
that point does not arise in this context.
"(ALLAH) Most Gracious is firmly established on
the throne (of authority). To Him belongs what is
in the heavens and on earth, and all between
them, and all beneath the soil. If thou pronounce
the word aloud(it is no matter): for verily He
Knoweth what is secret and what is yet more
hidden. "
[Surah Ta Ha 20:5-7]
If things seem to be wrong in our imperfect vision
on this earth, we must remember that ALLAH
(Subhana Wa Ta'la),Who encompasses all Creation
and sits on the throne of Grace and Mercy,is in
command, and our Faith tells us that all must be
right. ALLAH's authority is not like an authority on
earth, which maybe questioned,or which may not
last. His authority is "firmly established".
An exhaustive definition of everything we can
conceive of- what is in the heavens, on the earth,
or between,or within the bowels of the earth. See
also Surah 10:3
"Verily your Lord is ALLAH, Who created the
heavens and the earth in six Days, then He
established Himself on the Throne (of authority,
regulating and governing all things. No intercessor
(can plead with Him) except after His leave (hath
been obtained). This is ALLAH your Lord; Him
therefore serve ye: will yet not receive admonition?
"
[Surah Yunus 10:3]
"ALLAH! there is no god but He! To Him belong the
Most Beautiful Names. "
[Surah Ta Ha 20:8]
ALLAH(Subhana Wa Ta'la) is all-in-all, and the
most beautiful things we can think of are referable
to Him. His Names refer to His attributes which
are like titles of Honour and Glory.
Say: "Call upon ALLAH, or Call upon Rahman: by
whatever name you call upon Him, (it is well): for
to Him belong the Most Beautiful Names. Neither
speak thy Prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low
tone,but seek a middle course between. "
[Surah Al Isra 17:110]
Subhana ALLAH!

Signs of the Day of Judgment

"Are they waiting for anything except the Hour, to
come to them suddenly? But its Signs have
already come!" (Al-Quran, Surah Muhammad)
Past .
11. Naked, destitute, barefoot shepherds will
compete in building tall buildings.
12. The slave-woman will give birth to her master
or mistress.
13. A trial (fitnah), which will enter every Arab
household.
14. Knowledge will be taken away (by the death of
people of knowledge), and ignorance will prevail.
15. Wine (intoxicants, alcohol) will be drunk in
great quantities.
16. Illegal sexual intercourse will become
widespread.
17. Earthquakes will increase.
18. Time will pass more quickly.
19. Tribulations (fitan) will prevail.
20. Bloodshed will increase.

The Mosques

The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be
upon him) granted permission to Muslim women
to attend the mosque and pray standing behind
the rows of men. He even advised the
Companions:
"Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from
going to the mosque." And husbands were
specifically told by him: "When your womenfolk
ask you for permission to attend the mosque, do
not prevent them."
Of course this permission to attend the mosques
was on the condition that women strictly observed
the various restrictions imposed upon them by the
Shari'ah regarding dress, etc., and it is known that
the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
considered it preferable for women to pray in their
own homes rather than attend the mosques. This
is borne out by the following incident.
Once the wife of Abu Hamid Sa'adi pleaded with
the Prophet to be allowed to attend his mosque
(the Prophet's Mosque in Medina) as she was
very fond of offering prayers behind him. He told
her,
"What you say is right, but it is better for you to
offer prayer in a closed room than in a courtyard.
Your prayer in a courtyard is better than on a
verandah, and your offering prayer in the mosque
of your own locality is better than your coming to
our mosque for it."
Thereafter she appointed a room for offering
prayers and continued offering prayers there till
her death, never even once going to the mosque.
There is a clear tradition of the Prophet (peace
and blessings be upon him) encouraging women
to offer their prayers inside their houses: "The best
mosques for women are the inner parts of their
houses."
Since the Prophet had not forbidden women to
attend the mosques, they continued to come to
the mosques. But after his death it became
increasingly clear that it was not in keeping with
the dignity and honor of Muslim women to come
to the mosques for prayers, especially at night,
because men, being what they were, would tease
them. Therefore the khalifah 'Umar told women
not to come to the mosques, but to offer their
prayers inside their own houses. The women of
Medina resented this prohibition and complained
to Ayshah. But they received a fitting reply from
her:
"If the Prophet knew what 'Umar knows, he would
not have granted you permission to go out (to the
mosque)."

Prophetic Reminders On The Importance of Prayer...

In the Name of Allah, Most Merciful &
Compassionate
The Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him)
said in this regard: ” The first thing that will be
judged among a person’s deeds on the Day of
Resurrection is the prayer. If that is in good order,
he will pass the test and prosper, and it that is
defective, he will fail the test and will be a loser.
(Tirmidhi)
‘Umar ibn al-Khattab reported that a man asked
the Prophet: “Messenger of Allah, what action is
dearest to Allah Most High?” The Prophet said,”
Prayer at its proper time. The one who does not
pray has no religion. Prayer is the main pillar of
the religion.”

sister Maya Z. converted to Islam

Not very long ago, I was preparing myself to be a Christian soldier against Islam, fighting with my words, not by force. the Quran had been known to me as a dangerous book.
but when I read the opening of the Quran , I could not stop the tears. I learned there was much peace that comes from reading this book of God. I compared it to the bible, my questions ever increasing. Why did I worship Jesus all this time when, even in the bible, Jesus clearly instructs the crowds to worship the one true Lord, and to serve him only (Luke 4:8).

A VERY CRUCIAL REMINDER...

Today we are living in society where marriage has
became difficult and it is getting more and more
difficult due to expenses and formalities. Which is
leading the younger generation to fall into the trap
of Zina. When Nikha becomes expensive, Zina
becomes cheap, so keep weddings as simple and
as affordable as possible.
Spread the knowledge so it will be Sadqa-e-Jaaria
for you and for me... In'Shaa'Allah.
The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
“Whoever directs someone to a good, then he will
have the reward equal to the doer of the
action.” [Muslim 1893]

RULES OF JOKING IN ISLAM

Imaam al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “The kind of joking which is forbidden is that which is excessive and persistent, for it leads to too much laughter and hardening of the heart, it distracts from remembrance of Allaah, and it often leads to hurt feelings, generates hatred and causes people to lose respect and dignity. But whoever is safe from such dangers, then that which the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to do is permissible for him.”

Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqaas said: “Set a limit to your jokes, for going to extremes makes you lose respect and incites the foolish against you.”

The amount of joking should be like the amount of salt in one’s food.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Do not laugh too much, for laughing too much deadens the heart.” (Saheeh al-Jaami’, 7312)

‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “Whoever laughs too much or jokes too much loses respect, and whoever persists in doing something will be known for it.”

So beware of joking, for it “causes a person to lose face after he was thought of as respectable, and it brings him humiliation after esteem.”

A man said to Sufyaan ibn ‘Uyaynah (may Allaah be pleased with him), “Joking is not right, it is to be denounced.” He replied, “Rather it is Sunnah, but only for those who know how to do it and do it at the appropriate time.”

Nowadays, although the ummah needs to increase the love between its individual members and to relieve itself of boredom, it has gone too far with regard to relaxation, laughter and jokes. This has become a habit which fills their gatherings and wastes their time, so their lives are wasted and their newspapers are filled with jokes and trivia.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much.” In Fath al-Baari it says: “What is meant by knowledge here has to do with the might of Allaah and His vengeance upon those who disobey Him, and the terrors that occur at death, in the grave and on the Day of Resurrection).

Muslim men and women have to be inclined to choose righteous and serious friends in their lives, who will help them to make good use of their time and strive for the sake of Allaah with seriousness and steadfastness, good and righteous people whose example they can follow. Bilaal ibn Sa’d said: “I saw them [the Sahaabah] jokingly pretending to fight over some goods, and laughing with one another, but when night came they were like monks.”

Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) was asked, “Did the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) laugh?” He said, “Yes, and the faith in their hearts was like mountains.”

So you have to follow the example of such people, who were knights by day and monks (i.e., devoted worshippers) by night.

May Allaah keep us, you and our parents safe on the Day of the Greatest Terror, those to whom the call will go out on that great Day:

“Enter Paradise, no fear shall be on you, nor shall you grieve”

Athlete from Lebanon tells the world who JESUS really was

Some beautiful dawah, by an athlete from
Lebanon.
How can such a small deed like what this Athlete
did lead to Jannah?
(Does anyone know who this Athlete is?) LIKE +
SHARE so it can get to him!!!
The Messenger of Allah (upon him be blessings
and peace) has ordered us to never take any good
deed lightly. A good deed is never insignificant and
hence should neither be passed up nor looked
upon as trivial. We do not know in which deed lie
the keys to our salvation. It may be that a deed
we consider as small and insignificant is actually
so pleasing to Allah (God) Almighty that He
accepts it and in consequence, forgives all other
shortcomings and mistakes of His servant.
We have heard the famous narration of a
prostitute, who once saw a dog panting out of
thirst, so she fed it water to quench it.
Consequently, Allah (God) Almighty forgave her and
brought about her reformation, all as a result of
this seemingly small deed.
Benefit of Simple Deeds in this World and in the
Hereafter
‘Do not consider any kind act insignificant, even
meeting your brother with a happy face.” (Muslim)
Even the removing of an obstacle from the
people’s pathway is a great reward in the sight of
Allah (God).
Prophet PBUH said,
“A man passed by a fallen branch in the middle of
the road and said, ‘By Allah (God), I will remove
this from the path of the Muslims so that it does
not inconvenience them,’ and he was admitted into
the Garden.” (Muslim)
So let us not overlook any small deed as
insignificant, since, if it is done sincerely and only
for the pleasure of Allah (God), it can mean our
attaining Jannah.
So when that next opportunity arises, to turn off
the lights and the fans in the masjid on your way
out, to close that dripping tap properly, to give
someone your favorite Itr when he asks you for it,
even though he may be the homeless man on the
streets, or to pick up a strewn bottle on the
pathway – just do it.
It could very well be your ticket to Jannah.
May Allah the Almighty Creator reward this Athlete
from Lebanon with Jannah for doing something so
simple and easy but yet so great and courageous.
May All the other Muslim Athlete's take this
example and try their hardest to do Dawah using
the celebrity status that they have to give back to
Allah and his Deen of ISLAM.

husband's house .." The Prophet (p.b.u.h) also said, "If a
lady gives meals (in charity) from her husband's house without
spoiling her husband's property, she will get a reward and her
husband will also get a reward likewise. The husband will get
a reward because of his earnings and the woman because of her
spending."
2.521:
Narrated `Aisha:
The Prophet said, "When a woman gives in charity from her
house meals in Allah's Cause without spoiling her husband's
property, she will get a reward for it, and her husband will
also get the reward for his earnings and the storekeeper will
get a reward likewise."
2.522:
Narrated Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, "Every day two angels
come down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah!
Compensate every person who spends in Your Cause,' and the
other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy every miser.' "
2.523:
Narrated Abu Huraira : The Prophet said, "The example of a
miser and an almsgiver is like the example of two persons
wearing iron cloaks." Allah's Apostle also said, "The example
of an almsgiver and a miser is like the example of two persons
who have two iron cloaks on them from their breasts to their
collar bones, and when the almsgiver wants to give in charity,
the cloak becomes capacious till it covers his whole body to
such an extent that it hides his fingertips and covers his
footprints (obliterates his tracks). (1) And when the miser
wants to spend, it (the iron cloak) sticks and every ring gets
stuck to its place and he tries to widen it, but it did not
become wide.
2.524:
Narrated Abu Burda: from his father from his grandfather that
the Prophet said, "Every Muslim has to give in charity." The
people asked, "O Allah's Prophet! If someone has nothing to
give, what will he do?" He said, "He should work with his
hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what
he earns)." The people further asked, "If he cannot find even
that?" He replied, "He should help the needy who appeal for
help." Then the people asked, "If he cannot do that?" He
replied, "Then he should perform good deeds and keep away from
evil deeds and this will be regarded as charitable deeds."
2.525:
Narrated Um 'Atiyya: A sheep was sent to me (Nusaiba
Al−Ansariya) (in charity) and I sent some of it to `Aisha. The
Prophet asked `Aisha for something to eat. `Aisha replied that
there was nothing except what Nusaiba Al−Ansariya had sent of
that sheep. The Prophet said to her, "Bring it as it has
reached its place."
2.526:
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri : Allah's Apostle said, "There is
no Zakat on less than five camels and also there is no Zakat
on less than five Awaq (of silver). (5 Awaq = 22 Fransa Riyals
of Yemen or 200 Dirhams.) And there is no Zakat on less than
five Awsuq. (A special measure of food−grains, and one Wasq
equals 60 Sa's.) (For gold 20, Dinars i.e. equal to 12 Guinea
English. No Zakat for less than 12 Guinea (English) of gold or
for silver less than 22 Fransa Riyals of Yemen.)
2.527:
Narrated Abi Sa`id Al−Khudri : I heard the Prophet saying (as
above−−No. 526)
2.528:
Narrated Anas:
Abu Bakr wrote to me what Allah had instructed His Apostle
(p.b.u.h) to do regarding the one who had to pay one Bint
Makhad (i.e. one year−old she−camel) as Zakat, and he did not
have it but had got Bint Labun (two year old she−camel). (He
wrote that) it could be accepted from him as Zakat, and the
collector of Zakat would return him 20 Dirhams or two sheep;
and if the Zakat payer had not a Bint Makhad, but he had Ibn
Labun (a two year old he−camel) then it could be accepted as
his Zakat, but he would not be paid anything .
2.529:
Narrated Ibn `Abbas : I am a witness that Allah's Apostle
offered the Id prayer before delivering the sermon and then he
thought that the women would not be able to hear him (because
of the distance), so he went to them along with Bilal who was
spreading his garment. The Prophet advised and ordered them to
give in charity. So the women started giving their ornaments
(in charity). (The sub−narrator Aiyub pointed towards his ears
and neck meaning that they gave ornaments from those places
such as earrings and necklaces.)
2.530:
Narrated Anas:
Abu Bakr wrote to me what was made compulsory by Allah's
Apostle and that was (regarding the payments of Zakat):
Neither the property of different people may be taken together
nor the joint property may be split for fear of (paying more,
or receiving less) Zakat.
2.531:
Narrated Anas:
Abu Bakr wrote to me what Allah's Apostle has made compulsory
(regarding Zakat) and this was mentioned in it: If a property
is equally owned by two partners, they should pay the combined
Zakat and it will be considered that both of them have paid
their Zakat equally.
2.532:
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri: A Bedouin asked Allah's Apostle
about the emigration. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "May Allah
have mercy on you! The matter of emigration is very hard. Have
you got camels? Do you pay their Zakat?" The Bedouin said,
"Yes, I have camels and I pay their Zakat." The Prophet said,
Work beyond the seas and Allah will not decrease (waste) any
of your good deeds." (See Hadith No. 260 Vol. 5).
2.533:
Narrated Anas:
Abu Bakr , wrote to me about the Zakat which Allah had ordered
His Apostle to observe: Whoever had to pay Jahda (Jahda means
a four−year−old she−camel) as Zakat from his herd of camels
and he had not got one, and he had Hiqqa (three−year−old
she−camel), that Hiqqa should be accepted from him along with
two sheep if they were available or twenty Dirhams (one Durham
equals about 1/4 Saudi Riyal) and whoever had to pay Hiqqa as
Zakat and he had no Hiqqa but had a Jadha, the Jadha should be
accepted from him, and the Zakat collector should repay him
twenty Dirhams or two sheep; and whoever had to pay Hiqqa as
Zakat and he had not got one, but had a Bint Labun
(two−year−old she−camel), it should be accepted from him along
with two sheep or twenty Dirhams; and whoever had to pay Bint
Labun and had a Hiqqa, that Hiqqa should be accepted from him
and the Zakat collector should repay him twenty Dirhams or two
sheep; and whoever had to pay Bint Labun and he had not got
one but had a Bint Makhad (one−year−old she camel), that Bint
Makhad should be accepted from him along with twenty Dirhams
or two sheep.
2.534:
Narrated Anas:
When Abu Bakr; sent me to (collect the Zakat from) Bahrain, he
wrote to me the following:−− (In the name of Allah, the
Beneficent, the Merciful). These are the orders for compulsory
charity (Zakat) which Allah's Apostle had made obligatory for
every Muslim, and which Allah had ordered His Apostle to
observe: Whoever amongst the Muslims is asked to pay Zakat
accordingly, he should pay it (to the Zakat collector) and
whoever is asked more than that (what is specified in this
script) he should not pay it; for twenty−four camels or less,
sheep are to be paid as Zakat; for every five camels one sheep
is to be paid, and if there are between twenty−five to
thirty−five camels, one Bint Makhad is to be paid; and if they
are between thirty−six to forty−five (camels), one Bint Labun
is to be paid; and if they are between forty−six to sixty
(camels), one Hiqqa is to be paid; and if the number is
between sixty−one to seventy−five (camels), one Jadha is to be
paid; and if the number is between seventy−six to ninety
(camels), two Bint Labuns are to be paid; and if they are from
ninety−one to one−hundred−and twenty (camels), two Hiqqas are
to be paid; and if they are over one−hundred and−twenty
(camels), for every forty (over one−hundred−and−twenty) one
Bint Labun is to be paid, and for every fifty camels (over
one−hundred−and−twenty) one Hiqqa is to be paid; and who ever
has got only four camels, has to pay nothing as Zakat, but if
the owner of these four camels wants to give something, he
can. If the number of camels increases to five, the owner has
to pay one sheep as Zakat. As regards the Zakat for the
(flock) of sheep; if they are between forty and
one−hundred−and−twenty sheep, one sheep is to be paid; and if
they are between one−hundred−and−twenty to two hundred
(sheep), two sheep are to be paid; and if they are between
two−hundred to three−hundred (sheep), three sheep are to be
paid; and for over three−hundred sheep, for every extra
hundred sheep, one sheep is to be paid as Zakat. And if
somebody has got less than forty sheep, no Zakat is required,
but if he wants to give, he can. For silver the Zakat is
one−fortieth of the lot (i.e.
2.5%), and if its value is less than two−hundred Dirhams,
Zakat is not required, but if the owner wants to pay he can.'
2.535:
Narrated Anas:
Abu Bakr wrote to me what Allah had ordered His Apostle (about
Zakat) which goes: Neither an old nor a defected animal, nor a
male−goat may be taken as Zakat except if the Zakat collector
wishes (to take it).
2.536:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Abu Bakr said, "By Allah! If they (pay
me the Zakat and) withhold even a she−kid which they used to
pay during the lifetime of Allah's Apostle, I will fight with
them for it." `Umar said, "It was nothing but Allah Who opened
Abu Bakr's chest towards the decision to fight, and I came to
know that his decision was right."
2.537:
Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) sent
Mu`adh to Yemen, he said (to him), "YOU are going to people of
a (Divine) Book. First of all invite them to worship Allah
(alone) and when they come to know Allah, inform them that
Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers in every day and
night; and if they start offering these prayers, inform them
that Allah has enjoined on them, the Zakat. And it is to be
taken from the rich amongst them and given to the poor amongst
them; and if they obey you in that, take Zakat from them and
avoid (don't take) the best property of the people as Zakat."
2.538:
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri : Allah's Apostle said, "No Zakat
is imposed on less than five Awsuq of dates; no Zakat is
imposed on less than five Awaq of silver, and no Zakat is
imposed on less than five camels."
2.539:
Narrated Abu Dhar: Once I went to him (the Prophet ) and he
said, "By Allah in Whose Hands my life is (or probably said,
'By Allah, except Whom none has the right to be worshipped)
whoever had camels or cows or sheep and did not pay their
Zakat, those animals will be brought on the Day of
Resurrection far bigger and fatter than before and they will
tread him under their hooves, and will butt him with their
horns, and (those animals will come in circle): When the last
does its turn, the first will start again, and this punishment
will go on till Allah has finished the judgments amongst the
people."
2.540:
Narrated 'Is−haq bin `Abdullah bin Al Talha: I heard Anas bin
Malik saying, "Abu Talha had more property of date−palm trees
gardens than any other amongst the Ansar in Medina and the
most beloved of them to him was Bairuha garden, and it was in
front of the Mosque of the Prophet . Allah's Apostle used to
go there and used to drink its nice water." Anas added, "When
these verses were revealed:−−'By no means shall you Attain
righteousness unless You spend (in charity) of that Which you
love. ' (3.92) Abu Talha said to Allah's Apostle 'O Allah's
Apostle! Allah, the Blessed, the Superior says: By no means
shall you attain righteousness, unless you spend (in charity)
of that which you love. And no doubt, Bairuha' garden is the
most beloved of all my property to me. So I want to give it in
charity in Allah's Cause. I expect its reward from Allah. O
Allah's Apostle! Spend it where Allah makes you think it
feasible.' On that Allah's Apostle said, 'Bravo! It is useful
property. I have heard what you have said (O Abu Talha), and I
think it would be proper if you gave it to your Kith and kin.'
Abu Talha said, I will do so, O Allah's Apostle.' Then Abu
Talha distributed that garden amongst his relatives and his
cousins."
2.541:
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri On `Id ul Fitr or `Id ul Adha
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) went out to the Musalla. After
finishing the prayer, he delivered the sermon and ordered the
people to give alms. He said, "O people! Give alms." Then he
went towards the women and said. "O women! Give alms, for I
have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell−Fire were
you (women)." The women asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What is the
reason for it?" He replied, "O women! You curse frequently,
and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone
more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. O women,
some of you can lead a cautious wise man astray." Then he
left. And when he reached his house, Zainab, the wife of Ibn
Mas`ud, came and asked permission to enter It was said, "O
Allah's Apostle! It is Zainab." He asked, 'Which Zainab?" The
reply was that she was the wife of Ibn Mas'ub. He said, "Yes,
allow her to enter." And she was admitted. Then she said, "O
Prophet of Allah! Today you ordered people to give alms and I
had an ornament and intended to give it as alms, but Ibn
Mas`ud said that he and his children deserved it more than
anybody else." The Prophet replied, "Ibn Mas`ud had spoken the
truth. Your husband and your children had more right to it
than anybody else."
2.542:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "There is no Zakat
either on a horse or a slave belonging to a Muslim."
2.543:
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "There is no Zakat
either on a slave or on a horse belonging to a Muslim."
2.544:
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri : Once the Prophet sat on a
pulpit and we sat around him. Then he said, "The things I am
afraid of most for your sake (concerning what will befall you
after me) is the pleasures and splendors of the world and its
beauties which will be disclosed to you." Somebody said, "O
Allah's Apostle! Can the good bring forth evil?" The Prophet
remained silent for a while. It was said to that person, "What
is wrong with you? You are talking to the Prophet (p.b.u.h)
while he is not talking to you." Then we noticed that he was
being inspired divinely. Then the Prophet wiped off his sweat
and said, "Where is the questioner?" It seemed as if the
Prophet liked his question. Then he said, "Good never brings
forth evil. Indeed it is like what grows on the banks of a
water−stream which either kill or make the animals sick,
except if an animal eats its fill the Khadira (a kind of
vegetable) and then faces the sun, and then defecates and
urinates and grazes again. No doubt this wealth is sweet and
green. Blessed is the wealth of a Muslim from which he gives
to the poor, the orphans and to needy travelers. (Or the
Prophet said something similar to it) No doubt, whoever takes
it illegally will be like the one who eats but is never
satisfied, and his wealth will be a witness against him on the
Day of Resurrection."
2.545:
Narrated `Amr bin Al−Harith: Zainab, the wife of `Abdullah
said, "I was in the Mosque and saw the Prophet (p.b.u.h)
saying, 'O women ! Give alms even from your ornaments.' "
Zainab used to provide for `Abdullah and those orphans who
were under her protection. So she said to `Abdullah, "Will you
ask Allah's Apostle whether it will be sufficient for me to
spend part of the Zakat on you and the orphans who are under
my protection?" He replied "Will you yourself ask Allah's
Apostle ?" (Zainab added): So I went to the Prophet and I saw
there an Ansari woman who was standing at the door (of the
Prophet ) with a similar problem as mine. Bilal passed by us
and we asked him, 'Ask the Prophet whether it is permissible
for me to spend (the Zakat) on my husband and the orphans
under my protection.' And we requested Bilal not to inform the
Prophet about us. So Bilal went inside and asked the Prophet
regarding our problem. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) asked, "Who are
those two?" Bilal replied that she was Zainab. The Prophet
said, "Which Zainab?" Bilal said, "The wife of `Abdullah (bin
Mas`ud)." The Prophet said, "Yes, (it is sufficient for her)
and she will receive a double rewards (for that): One for
helping relatives, and the other for giving Zakat."
2.546:
Narrated Zainab,:
(the daughter of Um Salama) My mother said, "O Allah's
Apostle! Shall I receive a reward if I spend for the
sustenance of Abu Salama's offspring, and in fact they are
also my sons?" The Prophet replied, "Spend on them and you
will get a reward for what you spend on them."
2.547:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) ordered (a
person) to collect Zakat, and that person returned and told
him that Ibn Jamil, Khalid bin Al−Walid, and `Abbas bin `Abdul
Muttalib had refused to give Zakat." The Prophet said, "What
made Ibn Jamil refuse to give Zakat though he was a poor man,
and was made wealthy by Allah and His Apostle ? But you are
unfair in asking Zakat from Khalid as he is keeping his armor
for Allah's Cause (for Jihad). As for `Abbas bin `Abdul
Muttalib, he is the uncle of Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) and
Zakat is compulsory on him and he should pay it double."
2.548:
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri: Some Ansari persons asked for
(something) from Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) and he gave them.
They again asked him for (something) and he again gave them.
And then they asked him and he gave them again till all that
was with him finished. And then he said "If I had anything. I
would not keep it away from you. (Remember) Whoever abstains
from asking others, Allah will make him contented, and whoever
tries to make himself self−sufficient, Allah will make him
self−sufficient. And whoever remains patient, Allah will make
him patient. Nobody can be given a blessing better and greater
than patience."
2.549:
Narrated Abu Huraira : Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose
Hand my life is, it is better for anyone of you to take a rope
and cut the wood (from the forest) and carry it over his back
and sell it (as a means of earning his living) rather than to
ask a person for something and that person may give him or
not."
2.550:
Narrated Az−Zubair bin Al−`Awwam: The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said,
"It is better for anyone of you to take a rope (and cut) and
bring a bundle of wood (from the forest) over his back and
sell it and Allah will save his face (from the Hell−Fire)
because of that, rather than to ask the people who may give
him or not."
2.551:
Narrated `Urwa bin Az−Zubair and Sa`id bin Al−Musaiyab: Hakim
bin Hizam said, "(Once) I asked Allah's Apostle (for
something) and he gave it to me. Again I asked and he gave (it
to me). Again I asked and he gave (it to me). And then he
said, "O Hakim! This property is like a sweet fresh fruit;
whoever takes it without greediness, he is blessed in it, and
whoever takes it with greediness, he is not blessed in it, and
he is like a person who eats but is never satisfied; and the
upper (giving) hand is better than the lower (receiving)
hand." Hakim added, "I said to Allah's Apostle , 'By Him
(Allah) Who sent you with the Truth, I shall never accept
anything from anybody after you, till I leave this world.' "
Then Abu Bakr (during his caliphate) called Hakim to give him
his share from the war booty (like the other companions of the
Prophet ), he refused to accept anything. Then `Umar (during
his caliphate) called him to give him his share but he
refused. On that `Umar said, "O Muslims! I would like you to
witness that I offered Hakim his share from this booty and he
refused to take it." So Hakim never took anything from anybody
after the Prophet till he died.
2.552:
Narrated `Umar:
Allah's Apostle used to give me something but I would say to
him, "would you give it to a poorer and more needy one than
l?" The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said to me, "Take it. If you are
given something from this property, without asking for it or
having greed for it take it; and if not given, do not run for
it."
2.553:
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Prophet said, "A man keeps
on asking others for something till he comes on the Day of
Resurrection without any piece of flesh on his face." The
Prophet added, "On the Day of Resurrection, the Sun will come
near (to, the people) to such an extent that the sweat will
reach up to the middle of the ears, so, when all the people
are in that state, they will ask Adam for help, and then
Moses, and then Muhammad (p.b.u.h) ." The sub−narrator added
"Muhammad will intercede with Allah to judge amongst the
people. He will proceed on till he will hold the ring of the
door (of Paradise) and then Allah will exalt him to Maqam
Mahmud (the privilege of intercession, etc.). And all the
people of the gathering will send their praises to Allah.
2.554:
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The poor person is
not the one who asks a morsel or two (of meals) from the
others, but the poor is the one who has nothing and is ashamed
to beg from others."
2.555:
Narrated Ash−Shu`bi: The clerk of Al−Mughira bin Shu`ba
narrated, "Muawiya wrote to Al−Mughira bin Shu`ba: Write to me
something which you have heard from the Prophet (p.b.u.h) ."
So Al−Mughira wrote: I heard the Prophet saying, "Allah has
hated for you three things: −1. Vain talks, (useless talk)
that you talk too much or about others. −2. Wasting of wealth
(by extravagance) −3. And asking too many questions (in
disputed religious matters) or asking others for something
(except in great need). (See Hadith No. 591, Vol. Ill)
2.556:
Narrated Sa`d (bin Abi Waqqas) : Allah's Apostle distributed
something (from the resources of Zakat) amongst a group of
people while I was sitting amongst them, but he left a man
whom I considered the best of the lot. So, I went up to
Allah's Apostle and asked him secretly, "Why have you left
that person? By Allah! I consider him a believer." The Prophet
said, "Or merely a Muslim (Who surrender to Allah)." I
remained quiet for a while but could not help repeating my
question because of what I knew about him. I said, "O Allah's
Apostle! Why have you left that person? By Allah! I consider
him a believer. " The Prophet said, "Or merely a Muslim." I
remained quiet for a while but could not help repeating my
question because of what I knew about him. I said, "O Allah's
Apostle! Why have you left that person? By Allah! I consider
him a believer." The Prophet said, "Or merely a Muslim." Then
Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "I give to a person while
another is dearer to me, for fear that he may be thrown in the
Hell−fire on his face (by reneging from Islam)."
2.557:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "The poor person
is not the one who goes round the people and ask them for a
mouthful or two (of meals) or a date or two but the poor is
that who has not enough (money) to satisfy his needs and whose
condition is not known to others, that others may give him
something in charity, and who does not beg of people."
2.558:
Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "No doubt, it is
better for a person to take a rope and proceed in the morning
to the mountains and cut the wood and then sell it, and eat
from this income and give alms from it than to ask others for
something."
2.559:
Narrated Abu Humaid As−Sa`idi: We took part in the holy battle
of Tabuk in the company of the Prophet and when we arrived at
the Wadi−al−Qura, there was a woman in her garden. The Prophet
asked his companions to estimate the amount of the fruits in
the garden, and Allah's Apostle estimated it at ten Awsuq (One
Wasaq = 60 Sa's) and 1 Sa'= 3 kg. approximately). The Prophet
said to that lady, "Check what your garden will yield." When
we reached Tabuk, the Prophet said, "There will be a strong
wind tonight and so no one should stand and whoever has a
camel, should fasten it." So we fastened our camels. A strong
wind blew at night and a man stood up and he was blown away to
a mountain called Taiy, The King of Aila sent a white mule and
a sheet for wearing to the Prophet as a present, and wrote to
the Prophet that his people would stay in their place (and
will pay Jizya taxation.) (1) When the Prophet reached
Wadi−al−Qura he asked that woman how much her garden had
yielded. She said, "Ten Awsuq," and that was what Allah's
Apostle had estimated. Then the Prophet said, "I want to reach
Medina quickly, and whoever among you wants to accompany me,
should hurry up." The sub−narrator Ibn Bakkar said something
which meant: When the Prophet (p.b.u.h) saw Medina he said,
"This is Taba." And when he saw the mountain of Uhud, he said,
"This mountain loves us and we love it. Shall I tell you of
the best amongst the Ansar?" They replied in the affirmative.
He said, "The family of Bani−n−Najjar, and then the family of
Bani Sa`ida or Bani Al−Harith bin Al−Khazraj. (The
above−mentioned are the best) but there is goodness in all the
families of Ansar."
2.560:
Narrated Salim bin `Abdullah from his father: The Prophet
said, "On a land irrigated by rain water or by natural water
channels or if the land is wet due to a near by water channel
Ushr (i.e. one−tenth) is compulsory (as Zakat); and on the
land irrigated by the well, half of an Ushr (i.e.
one−twentieth) is compulsory (as Zakat on the yield of the
land)."
2.561:
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al−Khudri : The Prophet said, "There is no
Zakat on less than five Awsuq (of dates), or on less than five
camels, or on less than five Awaq of silver." (22 Yemeni
Riyals Faransa).
2.562:
Narrated Abu Huraira : Dates used to be brought to Allah's
Apostle immediately after being plucked. Different persons
would bring their dates till a big heap collected (in front of
the Prophet). Once Al−Hasan and Al−Husain were playing with
these dates. One of them took a date and put it in his mouth.
Allah's Apostle looked at him and took it out from his mouth
and said, "Don't you know that Muhammad's offspring do not eat
what is given in charity?"
2.563:
Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet had forbidden the sale of
dates till they were good (ripe), and when it was asked what
it meant, the Prophet said, "Till there is no danger of
blight."
2.564:
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah : The Prophet had forbidden the
sale of fruits till they were ripe (free from blight).
2.565:
Narrated Anas bin Malik: Allah's Apostle forbade the selling
of fruits until they were ripe. The Prophet (p.b.u.h) added,
"It means that they become red ."
2.566:
Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: `Umar bin Al−Khattab gave a
horse in charity in Allah's Cause and later he saw it being
sold in the market and intended to purchase it. Then he went
to the Prophet and asked his permission. The Prophet said, "Do
not take back what you have given in charity." For this
reason, Ibn `Umar never purchased the things which he had
given in charity, and in case he had purchased something
(unknowingly) he would give it in charity again.
2.567:
Narrated `Umar:
Once I gave a horse in Allah's Cause (in charity) but that
person did not take care of it. I intended to buy it, as I
thought he would sell it at a low price. So, I asked the
Prophet (p.b.u.h) about it. He said, "Neither buy, nor take
back your alms which you have given, even if the seller were
willing to sell it for one Dirham, for he who takes back his
alms is like the one who swallows his own vomit."
2.568:
Narrated Abu Huraira : Al−Hasan bin `Ali took a date from the
dates given in charity and put it in his mouth. The Prophet
said, "Expel it from your mouth. Don't you know that we do not
eat a thing which is given in charity?"
2.569:
Narrated Ibn `Abbas : The Prophet saw a dead sheep which had
been given in charity to a freed slave−girl of Maimuna, the
wife of the Prophet . The Prophet said, "Why don't you get the
benefit of its hide?" They said, "It is dead." He replied,
"Only to eat (its meat) is illegal."
2.570:
Narrated Al−Aswad: `Aisha intended to buy Barira (a
slave−girl) in order to manumit her and her masters intended
to put the condition that her Al−wala would be for them.
`Aisha mentioned that to the Prophet who said to her, "Buy
her, as the "Wala" is for the manumitted." Once some meat was
presented to the Prophet and `Aisha said to him, "This (meat)
was given in charity to Barira." He said, "It is an object of
charity for Barira but a gift for us."
2.571:
Narrated Um 'Atiyya Al−Ansariya : The Prophet went to `Aisha
and asked her whether she had something (to eat). She replied
that she had nothing except the mutton (piece) which Nusaiba
(Um 'Atiyya) had sent to us (Buraira) in charity." The Prophet
said, "It has reached its place and now it is not a thing of
charity but a gift for us."
2.572:
Narrated Anas:
Some meat was presented to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) and it had
been given to Barira (the freed slave−girl of Aisha) in
charity. He said, "This meat is a thing of charity for Barira
but it is a gift for us."
2.573:
Narrated Abu Ma`bad,: (the slave of Ibn `Abbas) Allah's
Apostle said to Mu`adh when he sent him to Yemen, "You will go
to the people of the Scripture. So, when you reach there,
invite them to testify that none has the right to be
worshipped but Allah, and that Muhammad is His Apostle. And if
they obey you in that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on
them five prayers in each day and night. And if they obey you
in that tell them that Allah has made it obligatory on them to
pay the Zakat which will be taken from the rich among them and
given to the poor among them. If they obey you in that, then
avoid taking the best of their possessions, and be afraid of
the curse of an oppressed person because there is no screen
between his invocation and Allah."
2.574.1:
Narrated `Abdullah bin Abu `Aufa : Whenever a person came to
the Prophet with his alms, the Prophet would say, "O Allah!
Send your Blessings upon so and so." My father went to the
Prophet with his alms and the Prophet said, "O Allah! Send
your blessings upon the offspring of Abu `Aufa."
2.574.2:
Narrated Abu Huraira The Prophet said, "A man from Bani Israel
asked someone from Bani Israel to give him a loan of one
thousand Dinars and the later gave it to him. The debtor went
on a voyage (when the time for the payment of the debt became
due) but he did not find a boat, so he took a piece of wood
and bored it and put 1000 diners in it and threw it into the
sea. The creditor went out and took the piece of wood to his
family to be used as fire−wood." (See Hadith No. 488 B, Vol.
3). And the Prophet narrated the narration (and said), "When
he sawed the wood, he found his money."
2.575:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "There is no
compensation for one killed or wounded by an animal or by
falling in a well, or because of working in mines; but Khumus
is compulsory on Rikaz."
2.576:
Narrated Abu Humaid Al−Sa`idi: Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h)
appointed a man called Ibn Al−Lutbiya, from the tribe of
Al−Asd to collect Zakat from Bani Sulaim. When he returned,
(after collecting the Zakat) the Prophet checked the account
with him.
2.577:
Narrated Anas:
Some people from `Uraina tribe came to Medina and its climate
did not suit them, so Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) allowed them
to go to the herd of camels (given as Zakat) and they drank
their milk and urine (as medicine) but they killed the
shepherd and drove away all the camels. So Allah's Apostle
sent (men) in their pursuit to catch them, and they were
brought, and he had their hands and feet cut, and their eyes
were branded with heated pieces of iron and they were left in
the Harra (a stony place at Medina) biting the stones. (See
Hadith No. 234, Vol. 1)
2.578:
Narrated Anas bin Malik: I took `Abdullah bin Abu Talha to
Allah's Apostle to perform Tahnik for him. (Tahnik was a
custom among the Muslims that whenever a child was born they
used to take it to the Prophet who would chew a piece of date
and put a part of its juice in the child's mouth). I saw the
Prophet and he had an instrument for branding in his hands and
was branding the camels of Zakat.

Looking in to some daily routines of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)

When the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be
upon him) woke up, he would pray Fajr with his
Companions in the mosque. Then he would sit in
the place where he had prayed, remembering Allah
until the sun rose, and his Companions (may Allah
be pleased with them) would sit with him.
Sometimes they would talk and remember things
that happened before Islam; they would laugh and
he would smile.
The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of
Allah be upon him) regularly offered Duha prayer
with four or more rak‘ahs. It was narrated that
‘Aa’ishah said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings
and peace of Allah be upon him) used to pray
Duha with four rak‘ahs or more, as Allah willed.
Narrated by Muslim, 719
‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) was
asked: What did the Messenger of Allah (blessings
and peace of Allah be upon him) do in his house?
She said: He was a human being like any other; he
would clean his garment, milk his sheep and serve
himself.
Narrated by Ahmad, 26194; classed as saheeh by
al-Albaani in as-Saheehah, 671
According to another report also narrated by
Ahmad (24903): He used to stitch his garment,
mend his shoes and work as other men work in
their houses.
Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-
Jaami‘, 4937.
Al-Bukhaari (676) narrated that al-Aswad said: I
asked ‘Aa’ishah what the Prophet (blessings and
peace of Allah be upon him) used to do in his
house. She said: He would serve his family, then
when the time for prayer came, he would go out to
the prayer.
He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)
never criticised any food; if he liked it he would eat
it, otherwise he would leave it.
Sometimes month after month would go by, and he
would not find any food except dates and water.
It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be
pleased with him) said: The Prophet (blessings and
peace of Allah be upon him) never criticised any
food; if he liked it he would eat it, otherwise he
would leave it.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3563; Muslim, 2064
He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)
would take a nap at midday, so that this siesta
would give him strength to pray qiyaam al-layl
(voluntary prayers at night). He would say: “Take
a nap at midday, for the Shaytaan does not take a
nap at midday.” Narrated by at-Tabaraani in al-
Awsat, 28; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in as-
Saheehah, 1647.
Al-Bayhaqi (20851) narrated that Jaabir said: The
Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah
be upon him) said: “Let us go to al-Baseer who is
in Banu Waaqif and visit him (as he is sick).” He
was a blind man.
The life of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and
peace of Allah be upon him) was not a strict
routine, as may be understood from these words.
Rather it was purposeful and blessed work, as his
Lord instructed him (interpretation of the meaning):
“Say (O Muhammad SAW): ‘Verily, my Salat
(prayer), my sacrifice, my living, and my dying are
for Allah, the Lord of the Alameen (mankind, jinns
and all that exists)’” [al-An ‘aam 6:162].
His practice was to interpret in a realistic manner
the commands and laws of Allah, as the Mother of
the Believers ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with
her) said.
Muslim narrated in his Saheeh (746) that Sa‘d ibn
Hishaam ibn ‘Aamir said to the Mother of the
Believers ‘Aa’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her)
:
O Mother of the believers, tell me about the
character of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and
peace of Allah be upon him). She said: Do you not
read the Qur’an?
I said: Of course.
She said: The character of the Prophet of Allah
(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was
the Qur’an.

May Allah make our residence near to Prophet
after this life.
Ameen.
