The word swalath has many significance. Its meaning changes according to the context it is used. Though the word literally means “prayer” , it has a wide range of technical connotations. It can be asking for grace from God , forgiveness from him,or respect and so on.
The meaning of swalath is various according to the person who uses it. It becomes compliments when it comes from Almighty allay and respect from angels.
Swalath from Allah:
To express the importance of swalath, alamighty allah says in holy qouran “ Allh and his angels are reciting swalath on prophet muhammed swallallahu alaihi wasallam. So O! believers , you too do the same. (Ahsab50)
This verse shows how concerned God is in swalatha and prophet swallallahu alihiwasallam.
Swaltha from angels
In angels swalath, they are requesting allah to praised his swalath on prophet. Same hadeeth says that there are separate set of angels committed to recite swalath on prophet. They are continually asking for greater social and personal approbation for prophet Muhammad swallallahu alihi wasallam
Swalath from believers
In swalath, the believers are asking god to increase prophets position in the world. Swaltha is not a recommendation for to god for prophet Muammed, but it is a committed duty to allah.
We can see many hadeths and quotations that extol the glory of swalath. Abuthalahthul answari says “ once prophet was seen very pleasant and happy. When swahaba asked him the reason, he said, jibreel came and said: if any one recites one swalath upon you allah will provides him ten fortune and forgives his ten sins and provide him with his mercy”
Imam ibn hajar (R) explains this hadeeth thus one swalath does not simply generate one virtue, but ten benefit are accorded,
1)recreation of faith in Allah
2) recreation of faith in prophet
3)Reverence of prophet
4)Praying for prophet respect
5)Strengthen the belief in the fortune
6)Commemorate the memory of prophets family
