Call from Allah

Husband and wife dialogue:

The husband : did you pray ‘Asr prayer ?

The wife : No !

The husband : Why ?

The wife : I just arrived from work and I am a bit tired. I will go to sleep.

The husband : Ok ! Go pray ‘Asr and Maghrib before the Athan for ‘Isha prayer starts.

The next day, as usual, the husband went on a business trip which would last for days. He left the house. After few hours he arrived at his destination.
The wife waited for his call as usual. He didn’t call or inbox her. She phoned him but no reply! She became irritated and worried about him.
She phoned again and again but no reply !

After few hours he phoned her.

The wife : are you ok, honey ?!!

The husband : yes, I am ok. Alhamdulillah.

The wife : when did you arrive ?

The husband : four hours now.

The wife : «surprised » : Four hours !!! but you didn’t call !!!

The husband : I arrived a bit tired and I went to sleep.

The wife : You could have called me. It wouldn’t have taken more than few minutes. Didn’t you hear the phone ringing ?

The husband : Yes, I did.

The wife : why didn’t you answer the phone? Didn’t you care?

The husband : (silent)….. But yesterday you also didn’t care when you heard the Adhan, a call from Allah.

The wife : (silent, and tears in her eyes). You are right, honey. I am sorry !

The husband : Ask Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala to forgive you!

We can be together in Jannah. Insha'Allah           pass it to everyone

Cheraman Juma Masjid - first mosque in India

Structure of old Cheraman Masjid

The Cheraman Jum'ah Masjid is a mosque in Methala, Kodungallur Taluk, Thrissur district in the Indian state of Kerala. The Cheraman Masjid is the first mosque in India. It is older then Palaiya jumma palli located Tamil Nadu built in 629 AD by Malik lbn Dinar, an Arab propagator of Islam and a follower and contemporary of Islamic Prophet Muhammad. It is believed that this mosque was first renovated and reconstructed in the 11th century AD. Many non-Muslims conduct initiation ceremonies to the world of letters of their children here.

Since ancient times, trade relations between Arabia and India were active. Even before Islam had been established in Arabia, Arab traders visited the Malabar region, which was a major link between the ports of India and Southeast Asia. With the advent of Islam, the Arab merchants became carriers of the new religion and they propagated it wherever they went. Cheraman Perumal, the Chera king, went to Arabia where he met the Prophet and embraced Islam and changed his name to Tajuddin. From there he had sent letters with Malik Ibn Dinar to his relatives in Kerala, asking them to be courteous to the latter. According to Burnell he was a contemporary of Islamic Prophet Muhammad.
In the 7th Century, a group of Arabs led by Malik Bin Deenar and Malik bin Habib arrived in north Kerala and constructed a Masjid at Kodungalloor, naming it after their contemporary Cheraman Perumal.
The mosque has an ancient oil lamp which always burns and which is believed to be more than a thousand years old. People of all religions bring oil for the lamp as offering. Like most mosques in Kerala, this mosque allows entry for Non-Muslims.. The then president of India Abdul Kalam is among the notable visitors to this mosque.

History
THE LEGEND OF CHERAMAN PERUMAL
Legend of a king abdicating his throne to vindicate his certitude is a glorious chapter in any history. There are a number of regional and tribal variations on the tradition of Cheraman Perumal, his abdication of throne to convert to Islam and subsequent pilgrimage to Mecca. The most accepted and popular version is as follows.
Cheraman Perumal, the reigning King of Kerala, with Kodungallur as its capital, once experienced an unusual dream of the new moon being split into two halves at the horizon. His Court astrologers could not give him a satisfactory explanation. Later when a group of Arab traders on their way to Ceylon met the Perumal, he mentioned about his dream. They explained that this could probably be the miracle Prophet performed at Arabia (Holy Qur’an-54:1-5).
This explanation convinced him and he decided to embrace Islam. His decision to leave for Mecca was kept a secret. He divided his land and assigned various territories to local chieftains to ensure smooth governance. He then left for Mecca, met the prophet and embraced Islam. He spent some years there and while returning home, fell ill and died at Dhufar in Oman. Before his death, he wrote letters to local rulers of Malabar and handed them to his friends. Later, when Malik Bin Dinar and his companions reached Kodungallur, the letters were handed over to the ruling chieftains. They were given permission to construct mosques in different places. The first mosque in India was thus constructed at Kodungallur and Malik Bin Dinar himself was the first Ghazi of this "Cheraman Masjid". After a while he appointed his relative Habib Bin Malik as the Ghazi at Cheraman Masjid and traveled across the length and breadth of Kerala. He established different Mosques in different parts of Kerala. Later, he left for Arabia where he died. It is believed that the old tombs now at Cheraman Mosque belong to Habib Bin Malik and his wife Khumarriah.
KERALA & KODUNGALLUR MUSLIM HERITAGE
Musris as it was called in ancient days; Kodungallur is only an appendix in history today.lt was the cradle of Kerala culture centuries ago. Dating back to even 400BC it was a vibrant emporium of trade with East and West. Pliny the Elder(23–79 AD) called her "Primum Emorium Indiae" - the most important Indian port. Phoenicians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Persian and Chinese were here in Musiris. Muchiripattanam, referred to in Valmiki Ramayana is just another pointer to its antiquity.
Augustus Caesar (63 BC –14 AD) had built a temple and protected it by two cohorts at Kodungallur to protect his trade interests. St. Thomas landed here in AD52 and Jews fleeing Jerusalem in AD 69 from the pogrom by Caesar Titus found a haven at Kodungallur. For more than 3000 years, Kerala had a flourishing maritime trade. The merchants from all over the then known world flocked in attracted by the spices, condiments, jewels and various flora and fauna of this ancient land. Even before 800 BC navigators of China and Arabia knew the nature and the trade potential of the monsoon winds. Indian maritime traders were using the monsoon winds to reach Babylon as early as 700 BC.
Teakwood from Kerala has been identified in the Moon-Attur temple of Mesopotamia and in the 6th century BC Palaces of Nebuchadnezzar. There are details about the spices of Kerala in the Holy books of Jews. Etymologists have noticed interesting phonetic similarities in mercantile nomenclature of ancient Tamil, Greek and Arabic words. The Malayalam words like 'Karpooram' and "Inji" became "Carpion and Ginger". The Tamil word "Arisi" metamorphosed to rice (English) through Orisi (Greek). William Logan has identified Keralite colonies in Arabia and in the Island of Secrota in the Gulf of Aden. Some historians like Strobow, found close similarities in the social customs of Nairs of Kerala and some tribes of Arabia. It was around 900 BC Queen Sheba presented the spices of Kerala to King Solomon.
Total absence of reliable historical records makes early history of Kerala a bundle of myths and legends. The intense dynastic struggle that existed then, culminated in the election of a ruler called Perumals. The political scene in Kerala is clearer only after the abdication of the last of the Perumals, Cheraman Perumal. The European period (1498-1947) begins with the landing of Vasco de Gama at Kappad near Kozhicode in 1498. HyderAli's invasion of Malabar in 1766 had tremendous influence in the socio-political scene of Kerala. The reign of Tipu Sultan was the beginning of the long and torturous road to the empowerment of the common man. The fall of Mysore in 1792 placed India into the colonial hands and the Kerala society into yet another period of social and economic "Dark Age" forcing Swami Vivekanada (1863-1902), a century later, to utter his famous observation on Kerala as "a lunatic asylum ".The upper caste atrocities with the connivance of the British were so suffocating that there were about 300 anti-British peasant rebellions between the fall of Tipu (1750-1799) and the Malabar Rebellion (1921).
Malabar rebellion of 1921 had great impact in Kerala Islamic history especially that of Kodungallur Muslims. The Ulemas of Malabar found a perfect haven at Kodungallur to escape police atrocities during the rebellion. The receptive minds of the affluent Muslims of Kodungallur amalgamated with the progressive and intellectual brains of the Ulema created a chain of events resulting in the formation of an organization called "Muslim Aikya Sangham" in 1923 at Eriyad, Kodungallur. .
Aikya Sangham and its ideologies were well accepted by the community. Thus under the aegis of Aikya Sangham a total of 1497 schools were started in Muslim dominant areas of Cochin and Malabar. They reformed Madrasa syllabus and modernized Madrasas with benches, desks, black boards. They supplied books, slates and pencils and other study materials free to all students.Mid-day meal at a regular basis was started and all these were open to students of all castes and creed. They encouraged the Muslim community to accept government scholarships and established scholarships of their own. Female literacy was promoted with great emphasis. They were instrumental in establishing a system where Arabic Munshis (teachers) were to be appointed by the government in Muslim dominant areas. The result had far reaching effects. By the time the nation became independent the general literacy of Muslims of Kodungallur was almost at par with that of general population and Muslim female literacy was far ahead of the national Muslim average. It is interesting to note that the village of Eriyad, Kodungallur from where Aikya Sangam originated, has the largest number of Muslim lady doctors now. It is also to be noted that when only a few affluent families were literate in Muslim Community, the general and secular literacy has percolated to the grass root level at Kodungallur even at the beginning of the 20th century. To this great achievement the community is indebted to the vision, courage, and commitment of leaders like, Kottapurath Seethi Mohammed Sahib, Manapat Kunhumohamed Haji, Janab Seethi Sahib and other leaders of Aikya Sangham.Janab Mohamed Abdurahman Sahib was a great leader of Freedom movement and Janab K.M. Ibrahim Sahib son of Seethi Mohamed Sahib and younger brother of Seethi Sahib was a great parliamentarian. Dr P.K.Abdul Gafoor, the founder President of M.E.S is also from Kodungallur. .
CHERAMAN MASJID - HISTORY
The Oral tradition is that Cheraman Perumal, when he was convinced of his imminent death, wrote letters to his relatives in Kerala among whom he had partitioned his kingdom before leaving for Mecca. These letters were handed over to his companions. After a while, when Malik ibn Dinar came to Kerala, he brought the letters written by Perumal. In his letter he had asked his relatives "to receive the bearers of the letter and to treat them well". The rulers of Kerala honoured the letter and permitted Malik Ibn Dinar and his fellow Arab Muslim traders to establish mosques at different places of Kerala. This mosque at Kodungallur is the first to be established. Kerala Vyasan Kunhikuttan Thampuran (1864-1913) is of the opinion that a defunct Buddha vihar was handed over to the nascent Muslims to establish a mosque there.
It is believed that the mosque was first renovated or reconstructed sometime in the 11th Century AD and later again 300 years ago. The last renovation was done in 1974 when, as a result of increase in the population of the believers, an extension was constructed demolishing the front part of the mosque. The ancient part of the mosque including the sanctum sanctorum was left untouched and is still preserved. Another extension was made in 1994 to accommodate the ever increasing number of believers. When yet another extension to the mosque was needed in 2001 it was decided to reconstruct this in the model of the old mosque.
It is a matter of great pride that devotees and substantial number of pilgrims are from non-Muslim communities. The Mohalla Committees have encouraged this and the secular credentials of the mosque are dearly preserved. Offerings of Iftar during the fasting month of Ramzan are being made by the non-Muslim communities. Many non-Muslim devotees are conducting "Vidhyarambham of their children at the mosque. .
DEMOGRAPHY
There are about 1500 families registered as members with a total population of about 10000 members. The management of the affairs of the Mosque is vested in a Committee elected by the general body of the adult members of the Mohalla as per its bye-law for a period of two years.

Masjid Shajarah

This building is Masjid Shajarah (Masjid of the tree) and is located opposite Masjid al-Jinn. The Masjid marks the spot from where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) called a tree and it came to him. Note that this masjid is not to be confused with the masjid in Dhul Hulayfah which is sometimes referred to by the same name.
  • Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) was onced at Hajoon when some of the Mushrikeen (disbelievers) rejected his invitation to Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) prayed, “O Allah! Show me such a sign after which I would have no concern for the rejection of the people.” He was then told to call a nearby tree to him. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) did so, the tree came to him and greeted him with Salam. He then instructed it to return and it duly complied. After this the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said, “I now have no concern for the people’s rejection.“

Masjid al-Jinn

Masjid Jinn, also known as Masjid Haras, is built on the place where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) drew a line for Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) who had accompanied him after he had been commanded to recite the Qur’an to the Jinn.
  • Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, “While in Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) once said to the Sahabah (may Allah be pleased with them), ‘Whoever wishes to see what the Jinn are all about should come along’. Besides myself no-one else came. When we reached the place in the Ma’la district of Makkah the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) used his foot to draw a circle on the ground. He then instructed me to sit inside the circle. After proceeding a little further, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) started reciting the Quran. It then happened that Jinn started to arrive in troops as they gathered there. So many came that I could not even see the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) nor hear him. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) then continued talking with a group of them until Fajr.  [Tafseer ibn Kathir]
  • It has also been narrated by Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said, “A caller from among the jinn came to me, and I went with him and recited Quran to them.” He further narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) took them and showed them their footsteps and the traces of their fires. They had asked him for provision and he had prayed to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) and told them, “You will have every bone over which the name of Allah has been mentioned; when it falls into your hands it will have plenty of meat on it. And all droppings are food for your animals.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said, “Do not use them (bones and dung) to clean yourselves after relieving yourselves, for they are the food of your brothers.” [Saheeh Muslim]

BENEFITS OF SAJDATUL SHUKUR

Sajdatul Shukr is like a treasure in this world and al ākhira.

This information is worth gold, the benefits of doing Sajdatul Shukr. Most of us miss these benefits and we don't know how much it's worth.

When we (as slaves of Allah) do Sajdatul Shukr, Allah opens the hijaab between us and the Angels .
He says to the Angels, look at my slave, he did his fardh and obeyed my teachings and he did Sujuud to thank Me for what I've blessed him with.
Oh My Angels what should he get? The Angels will reply, Ya Rabana give him Your mercy.
Then Allah will ask again, and what else? The Angels will reply, Ya Rabana give him Your heaven.
Then Allah will ask again, and what else? The Angels will reply, Ya Rabana make his worries end.
Then Allah Taala will ask what else? Everytime Allah asks n what else, the Angels will reply, something good to be given or be done to the person who does Sajdatul Shukr. Lastly the Angels will reply, Ya Rabana we have no knowledge.
Then Allah will say, ' I'll thank him the way he thanked Me, I'll give him My favour and show him My mercy'.

SubhanAllah what benefit we receive if we perform Sajdatul Shukr everyday?
It's just a sajda and not a salaat and it's best when a person is clean, having țahara. Also it's best if you face alqibla. Anyone who gets a blessing, or something has been renewed or lost something he owns, it's best for him to do Sajdatul Shukr. You can do it with or without wudu'; you can face alqibla or not. But it's best with wudu' and facing the alqibla. I advice you to do Sajdatul Shukr after every salaat and say ' Shukr Lillah' 3 times or 'Alhamdulillah' 3 times. I advice you not to let this chance get away from you. Pls share with all your contacts; everytime they do this sujda you'll get reward (ajir). Even after you've died it'll be sadaqatul jariya. O Allah, make it sadaqatul jariya for me, my parents, my family, all those who'll share it and all Muslims.

Adhaab al-Qabr (Punishment Of The Grave)

Bismillahirrahmanirraheem

According to the Aqaid (beliefs) of the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamaah`, Adhaabul Qabr (punishment in the grave) is Haqq (true and established). (Sharhul Aqaid)
It (punishment of the grave) is proven from the Qur’an and Ahadith. Allah Ta’ala discusses the punishment given to Fir’awn. He says, ‘The fire is given to them in the morning and evening and on the Day of Judgment.’ The fire before the Day of Judgment refers to the punishment in the grave.
Rasulullah ﷺ said, ‘When a person is buried and the people go away, two angels approach the deceased and ask three questions, a) Who is your lord? b) What is your religion? and c) Who is this person (meaning Rasulullah ﷺ)? A believer will answer all three questions and he will be honored with the clothing of Jannah. The window of Jannah will be opened for him and he will enjoy the sight of Jannah. On the contrary, a disbeliever will not be able to answer, and will express regret at not being able to answer the questions. Upon that, an angel who is blind and deaf is appointed to punish him. Blind so that the angel does not see the punishment and feel mercy and deaf so that the punishment is not heard. The hammer used to punish a disbeliever is so heavy that it can reduce a mountain to dust. The disbeliever screams with pain and every creation can hear him besides human and Jinns.’ (Mishkat)

Rasulullah ﷺ said, ‘The grave is a garden of paradise or a pit of hell.’ (Ibid)

Rasulullah ﷺ said, ‘It has been revealed to me that the trial in the grave is similar to the trial of Dajjaal.’ (Tirmidhi)

Rasulullah ﷺ said, ‘If you are made to listen to the punishment in the grave, you will stop burying your deceased.’ (Tirmidhi)

Rasulullah ﷺ advised, ‘Seek protection from the punishment of the grave.’ (Ibid)

Messenger of Allaah ﷺ ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) said: “I have never seen any scene but the grave is more frightening than it.” (At-Tirmidhi)

In one Hadith, two reasons have been cited for the punishment in the grave:
a) Not exercising precaution from the splashes of urine drops,
b) Gossiping.

Ibn `Abbas (radiallahu anhuma) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by two graves and said, “Both of them (the persons in these graves) are being tortured, and they are not being tortured for a cardinal sin. But indeed they are great sins. One of them used not to save himself from being soiled with his urine, and the other one used to go about with calumnies (among the people to rouse hostilities, e.g., one goes to a person and tells him that so-and-so says about him such and such evil things).” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

The torment in the grave will vary according to the sins committed by the person in this world, whether he was a kaafir or a disobedient Muslim.

Sumurah bin Jundub (radiallahu anh) said: The Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) very often used to ask his Companions, “Has any one of you seen a dream?” So dreams would be narrated to him by those whom Allah willed to relate. One day he (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “Last night I had a vision in which two men (angels) came to me and woke me up and said to me, `Proceed!’ I set out with them and we came across a man lying down, and behold, another man was standing over his head, holding a big rock. Behold, he was throwing the rock at the man’s head, smashing it. When he struck him, the stone rolled away and he went after it to get it, and no sooner had he returned to this man, his head was healed and restored to its former condition. The thrower (of the rock) then did the same as he had done before. I said to my two companions, `Subhan-Allah! Who are these?’ They said: `Proceed, proceed.’ So we proceeded and came to a man lying in a prone position and another man standing over his head with an iron hook, and behold, he would put the hook in one side of the man’s mouth and tear off that side of his face to the back (of the neck), and similarly tear his nose from front to back, and his eyes from front to back. Then he turned to the other side of the man’s face and did just as he has done with the first side. He had hardly completed that (second) side when the first returned to its normal state. I said to my two companions, `Subhan-Allah! Who are these?’ They said, `Proceed, proceed.’ So we proceeded and came across something like a Tannur (a kind of baking oven, a pit usually clay-lined for baking bread).” I (the narrator) think the Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said, “In that oven there was much noise and voices.” The Prophet (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) added, “We looked into it and found naked men and women, and behold, a flame of fire was reaching to them from underneath, and when it reached them they cried loudly. I asked, `Who are these?’ They said to me, `Proceed, proceed.’ And so we proceeded and came across a river.” I (the narrator) think he said, “– red like blood.” The Prophet (ﷺ) added, “And behold, in the river there was a man swimming, and on the bank there was a man who had collected many stones. Behold, while the other man was swimming, he went near him. The former opened his mouth and the latter (on the bank) threw a stone into his mouth whereupon he went swimming again. Then again he (the former) returned to him (the latter), and every time the former returned, he opened his mouth, and the latter threw a stone into his mouth, (and so on) the performance was repeated. I asked my two companions, `Who are these?’ They replied, `Proceed, proceed.’ And we proceeded till we came to a man with a repulsive appearance, the most repulsive appearance you ever saw a man having! Beside him there was a fire, and he was kindling it and running around it. I asked my two companions, `Who is this (man)?’ They said to me, `Proceed, proceed!’ So we proceeded till we reached a garden of deep green dense vegetation, having all sorts of spring colours. In the midst of the garden there was a very tall man, and I could hardly see his head because of his great height, and around him there were children in such a large number as I have never seen! I said to my two companions, `Who is this?’ They replied, `Proceed, proceed.’ So we proceeded till we came to a majestic, huge garden, greater and better than any garden I have ever seen! My two companions said to me, `Ascend up’ and I ascended up.” The Prophet (ﷺ) added, “So we ascended till we reached a city built of gold and silver bricks, and we went to its gate and asked (the gatekeeper) to open the gate, and it was opened; and we entered the city and found in it men with one side of their bodies as handsome as the most handsome person you have ever seen, and the other side as ugly as the ugliest person you have ever seen! My two companions ordered those men to throw themselves into the river. Behold, there was a river flowing across (the city), and its water was like milk in whiteness. Those men went and threw themselves in it and then returned to us after the ugliness (of their bodies) had disappeared, and they came in the best shape.” The Prophet (ﷺ) further added, “My two companions said to me: `This place is the `Adn Jannah, and that is your place.’ I raised up my sight, and behold, there I saw a palace like a white cloud! My two companions said to me, `That palace is your place,’ I said to them, `May Allah bless you both! Let me enter it.’ They replied, `As for now, you will not enter it, but you shall enter it (one day).’ I said to them, `I have seen many wonders tonight. What does all that mean which I have seen?’ They replied, `We will inform you: As for the first man you came upon, whose head was being smashed with the rock, he is the symbol of the one who studies the Qur’an and then neither recites it nor acts on its orders, and sleeps, neglecting the enjoined prayers. As for the man you came upon, whose sides of mouth, nostrils and eyes were torn off from front to back, he is the symbol of the man who goes out of his house in the morning and tells lies that are spread all over the world. And those naked men and women whom you saw in a construction resembling an oven, they are the adulterers and the adulteresses. And the man who was given a stone to swallow is the eater of Ar-Riba (usury), and the bad-looking man whom you saw near the fire, kindling it and going around it, is Malik, the gatekeeper of Hell, and the tall man you saw in the garden is (Prophet) Ibraheem (Abraham – alayhisallam), and the children around him are those who died upon Al-Fitrah (the Islamic Faith of Monotheism).”’ The narrator added: Some Muslims asked the Prophet (ﷺ ) , “O Messenger of Allah! What about the children of Al-Mushrikun (i.e., polytheists, pagans, idolaters, and disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah and in His Messenger Muhammad ﷺ)?” The Prophet ﷺ replied, “And also the children of Al-Mushrikun.” The Prophet (ﷺ) added: “My two companions added, `The men you saw half handsome and half ugly were these people who had mixed an act that was good with another that was bad, but Allah forgave them’.”

Another narration of Al-Bukhari is: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “One night two men came to me and took me to a blessed land.” (The Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) told of the same incident as above) and said, “After a while of walking we came upon a pit like an oven, narrow at the top and wide at the bottom with fire raging in it. When the flames rose up (the people in it) also rose up till they were about to come out; and when the fire subsided they, too, would go down with it. In it were naked men and women.” (The remainder of the Hadith is the same as the above Hadith except that at the end of it, the Messenger of Allah (salallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: “We came upon a river of blood in the middle of which there was a man standing, and at the bank of the river there was a man with plenty of stones before him…” In this narration we also find: “They made me climb the tree and they made me enter an abode so beautiful the like of which I have never seen before. There (I saw) old men and youth.” In this narration we also find: “`The first house you entered was the abode of the believers in general, and the other house was the abode of the martyrs. I am Jibril (Gabriel – alayhisallam), and this is Mika’il (alayhisallam). Raise your head.’ I looked up and saw something like clouds. They said to me, `That is your abode.’ I said, `Shall I enter it?’ They said, `You have not completed your term of life yet. When you do, you will certainly enter it.”’ (Al-Bukhari)

Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar (rahmatullahi alaih) said: This indicates that some sinners will be punished in al-barzakh (the interval between death and the Day of Resurrection). (Fath al-Baari, 12/445)

It was the noble habit of Rasulullah ﷺ to make du’a in Salat for protection from the punishment of the grave. May Allah Ta’ala save us, our families and the entire Ummah from the trials of the Qabr.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best.

Dua

A lot of times, we hesitate to recite dua because we're not sure exactly what to say..

We look around for a dua in Arabic that we can memorize and recite, thinking that the words in Arabic is the key to the dua's acceptance..

The thing is, it's not about Arabic..

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala understands every language and understands you even when you don't say a thing..

It's all about turning your heart to Him with sincerity and conviction..

It reminds me of a story of a rich man, a poor man and a bedouin..

A rich man was going to Hajj.  He had prepared for the journey and was ready to go when a poor man asked him if he could go with him and serve him..

The rich man agreed and they started traveling.  On the way, the two stopped at a Bedouin’s tent..

The Bedouin was a generous host, serving his guests and making the comfortable.  The two travelers stayed overnight at the Bedouin’s tent..

In the morning, the rich man awoke to find that the poor man had passed away in the evening.  He asked the Bedouin to help him wash and bury the poor man..

Before they buried the poor man, the rich man asked the Bedouin to lead him in the funeral prayer.  The Bedouin declined, saying that he didn’t know how to make du’a for the poor man..

So the rich man led the prayer.  They buried the poor man and then the rich man continued on his way..

After he had left the Bedouin’s tent, the rich man had a dream in which he was told that Allah had forgiven the poor man’s sins because of the du’a of the Bedouin..

The rich man was so curious that he went back to the Bedouin’s tent to ask him what his du’a was..

The Bedouin insisted that he didn’t say anything special.  The rich man described his dream to the Bedouin and asked him again to tell him the du’a..

The Bedouin told him he just said, “Oh Allah, this man was my guest and I was generous to him.  Now he is Your guest, so please be generous to him.”

It wasn’t an extravagant du’a but it was the sincerity of the du’a that made it accepted.

Pls remember each other in duas !

3 old man

A woman came out of her house and saw 3 old men with long white beards sitting in her front yard. She did not recognize them. She said "I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat."

"Is the man of the house home?", they asked.

"No", she replied. "He's out."

"Then we cannot come in", they replied.

In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened.

"Go tell them I am home and invite them in!"

The woman went out and invited the men in"

"We do not go into a House together," they replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

One of the old men explained: "His name is Wealth," he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, "He is Success, and I am Love." Then he added, "Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "How nice!!", he said. "Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Success?"
Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: "Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

"Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice," said the husband to his wife.

"Go out and invite Love to be our guest."

The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, "Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest."

Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: "I only invited Love, Why are you coming in?"

The old men replied together: "If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!!"

MY WISH FOR YOU...
-Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy.

-Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish you understanding, patience, and renewed strength.

2. Invite love by sharing this story with all the people you care about.

FASTING or HUNGER EXERCISE

Any attitude or act which is forbidden or disliked in the Holy month of Ramadan will never be halal  after Ramadan. The God in Ramadan is the same God in all the other months.

The litmus paper test for determining whether one's fast is accepted or not is not determined by the acts performed in Ramadan. It is determined by the acts that follows Ramadan. To strive and continue to maintain one's good acts after Ramadan can be a sign of acceptance. But to immediately and eagerly return to one's disliked acts speaks a lot about one's sincerity during the month of Ramadan. It is even perplexing to see people planning some forbidden and disliked acts they want to engage in after Ramadan when we are still in the month of Ramadan...Hmmm, Allah Guide

So if you were planning to return back to that haram boy/girlfriend relationship, remove the Hijaab, pull back the 'Otto Pfista', stop praying completely or on time as before, dressing almost naked, continue with the back-biting and slandering, etc after Ramadan is gone, then you have to think twice about the acceptance of your 29/30 days restraint.

So the destiny of your fast lies directly in your hands. Whether it becomes written in your book of good deeds or it becomes a hunger exercise is your choice. Am not saying that, one will have be 100% in maintaining one's acts of Ramadan. But to a large extent, one must strive to.

So the choice once again lies in your hands. Are going for an ACCEPTED FASTING or  a HUNGER EXERCISE???

May Allah guide us to choose wisely,

USED vs. LOVED

While a man was polishing his new car, his 6 yr old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car. In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father.....with painful eyes he asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?' The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times. Devastated by his own actions.......sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.The next day that man committed suicide. . .Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life..... Things are to be used and people are to be loved. But the problem in today's world is that, People are used and things are loved.... In this year, let's be careful to keep this thought in mind: Things are to be used, but People are to be loved. Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits they become character;Watch your character; it becomes your destiny. I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder. God bless you. If you don't pass this on nothing bad will happen; but if you do, you might change someone's life.                                Do u know the relationship between your two eyes? They blink together, move together, cry together, see things together & sleep together. Even though they never see each other. Friendship should be just like that! Life is vanity without FRIENDS. IT'S "WORLD BEST FRIENDS WEEK". Who is your best friend? Send this to all your good friends. Even me, if I am one of them. See how many u get back. If u get more than 7, then u are really a lovable person!ððð

The following are some of the difference between Islam and Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat )

1. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) is based on the belief that Mirza was an
improved second reincarnation of hazrat Muhammad (SAW) .
2. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) rejects the concept of absolute Finality of
Prophethood in hazrat Muhammad (SAW ), as confirmed in Quran,
Hadith, Sunnah of the Holy Prophet(SAW) , Tradition of Companions,
the writings of Muslim Scholars and personalities, and concensus of
the entire Ummah for almost 1500 years.
3. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) maintains that Mirza Ghulam Qadiani was a Prophet ( nabi and rasul) of God.
4. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) rejects the concept of completion of the
revelations of Allah(SWT) in the Holy Quran.
5. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) holds that Mirza Ghulam Qadiani's
revelations (Books) were on the same level as all prior revelations
(Quran, Bible, Torah). In their view, simply following Quran and
Sunnah, as Muslims have done since the beginning of Islam, is not a
basis for living a righteous life and gaining the pleasure of the
Creator. Interestingly, the Qadiani leadership has refused to allow a
translation of these books, so that everyone may become familiar
with the irrational teachings and contradictory claims of the founder
of their organization.
6. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) rejects authentic Hadith based on Mirza's
alleged revelations and teaches his personal interpretation of the
Holy Quran . Qadiani (Ahmadiyya) leadership has forged several
unauthentic translations of the Holy Quran to try to confuse and
mislead uninformed individuals.
7. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) teaches that Jesus ( pbuh) had been
crucified, but did not die from his injuries. Instead, it advocates the
view that Jesus( pbuh) recovered from his injuries, escaped to
Kashmir (India), where he lived for another 86 years, and is buried
there.
8. Whereas Jesus (pbuh ) is acknowledged as a great prophet of Allah in
Islam, Mirza Ghulam took the liberty of making demeaning and vulgar
remarks against him and his honored mother, rejected his miracles,
belittled his mission and denied his return before the Day of
Judgment. It is such unbecoming teachings that have resulted in
hateful retributions by extremist Christians evangelical groups
against Muslims, Prophet Muhammad(SAW), and Islam.
9. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) maintains that Mirza Ghulam Qadiani was
"the promised Messiah". The Qadianis (Ahmadis) reject the advent of
Jesus Christ (pbuh) , son of Mary, as the Messiah, just before the Day
of Judgment.
10. Qadianism (Ahmadiyyat) teaches that Mirza Ghulam Qadiani was also the promised Mahdi (guided one).

Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (or Zakat-ul-Fitr)

Paying Sadaqat-ul-Fitr (or Zakat-ul-Fitr)
{ obligatory charity should be given before
reading Eid's namaz }...
Sadaqat-ul-Fitr is obligatory and is to be paid by
every Muslim who falls under the Nisab level,
before leaving the house for Eid prayers.. The
main idea of paying zakat-ul-fitr is that on eid
day all the poor people throught d world should
hav food fully…n Prophet muhammad {sallalahu
alaihi wassallam} was very particular about this,
as is evident from the hadith (prophet's saying's)
given below:
Narrated Ibn Umar (Radhiallahu 'anhu): Allah's
Apostle (prophet muhammad sallalahu alaihi
wassallam) enjoined the payment of one Sa' of
dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on
every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young
or old, and he ordered that it should be paid
before the people went out to offer the 'EId
prayer. (One Sa' = 3 Kilograms approx.)- [Sahih
Bukhari: Volume 2, Book 25, Number 579].....
(The amount of fitr is decided according to d cost
of rice or wheat so please do check in respective
masjids for the fitr cost per each person..)..

MY HEART BROKE WHEN I READ THIS

Take two minutes out of your time... Imagine your mum was on the silver bed that they wash dead bodies upon... You make wudhu upon her and then start to wash her hair, you run your hand through her greyed hair, you remember the times she would ask you if she looked nice in what she was wearing, you remember how sweet she was and how beautiful she was in her youth, you realise this will be the last time you touch your mother in this dunya, you lift her left side over and it strikes you that she can no longer wash her own self although she was the one who used to wash you, you pour the water over her body and start to remember the times she used to wash you and clothe you and feed you and stay up at night by your side worried about you, a young girl/boy or grown man/grown woman she treated you the same, her beloved daughter/son who she would give up her world for, you take a look at her face and wish she would smile at you one last time, you realise the small things you took for granted, you remember the jokes that you used to use to make her laugh and the things that you said to please her... You begin to shroud her body and its time to cover her face..... You ask for one last chance to look at her beauty and kiss her upon her forehead, you shroud her and will never see her again in this life... Upon your shoulder she is carried just as upon hers she used to carry you, no more playing, laughing, giggling, joking.. pain and crying as you carry the most important woman in your life out of your life... You bury her and as you walk away you begin to remember the things you did that hurt her, Those words you said that she would overlook but you know bought her pain, you think about the times you chose your friends over her, your wife over her, a program you preferred to watch over her, you begin to realise you were a daughter/son that she deserved more from, you wish for one moment to hug her and tell her how sorry you are and tell her how much you appreciate her... It's too late... Her bed is the dust and her questioning will begin... If only you made use of your time with her before her time came to an end.... That day is coming soon ya ikhwa wa akhawat (O bros and sisters) don't let it be a time of regret and remorse...A MOTHER IS SPECIAL May الله سبحانه وتعالى grant all our beloved mothers who have passed away the highest stages in Jannatul Firdose آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ And to all of those whose mothers are still alive... may Allah grant them barakah in their lives... n grant us the ability to respect, honour n serve them آمِيْن يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِينْ

The five children of iblis (shaytan) that you should to know about...

A muslim Jinn said: Iblis have got a huge kingdom, ministers, a government, big administrations, representatives that are huge, 5 of them you’ve got to know them and warn yourself and others from.

The 1st one his name is Thaabar- he is the one who come to anyone in hardship to whisper to him to slap his face and reject the Qadr of Allah Azza wa jal, and he is the one who puts on the tongue those who are in times of hardships the words of rejection, dissatisfaction and not accepting the Qadr of Allah Azza wa jal.

The 2nd one is Daasim- he is the one who exhort his effort to destroy families, and separate husband and wife and he is the most beloved kid of iblis to his heart in his big administration.

The 3rd one is Al –aawar (the one eyed)– and he is the one who fassilitate zina (adultery & fornication), and keep pushing people toward it, and he sends his own kids decorating and ornamenting the lower part of any woman coming outside in the street not covered properly.

The 4th one is called Maswatt-and he is the one who teaches people to tell lies, and he can come in a shape of man sits in a meeting or gathering, spread rumor and lie.

The 5th one is zalanboor or zalnaboor- and he is the one who is responsible for affairs and markets all over the world , himself and his kids (his offprings), they are the main reason for deceit of that businessmen, buyer or seller, fighting in the markets and all sorts of evil that is happening in the market.

This was from interviewing a muslim Jinn, It was conducted by a muslim egyptian journalist Mohamed Isa Dawud and witnessed by a shaykh Kishk in Egypt. This book is available in Indonesian and Arabic...

I doubt if jinns can be trusted, but in this case its like a thief telling you close your windows and lock your doors at night. You'd listen even though the person is a thief.

But since there's nothing to my knowledge in the deen regarding this, take it with a grain of salt

Here's the video series in english to that book. It's very interesting.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bk51O...e_gdata_player

WHEN A LIZARD CAN, WHY CAN'T WE?

In order to renovate the house, a man breaks a wooden wall.   When tearing down the wall, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of it's feet.   He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail,  it was nailed 3 years ago when the house was first built !!!  What happened?   The lizard has survived in such position for 3 years!!!!!!!!!!   In a dark wall partition for 3 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling.  Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 3 years! without moving a single step--since it's foot was nailed!  So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating.   Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in it's mouth.  Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply.   For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 3 years...   Imagine? it has been doing that untiringly for 3 long years, without giving up hope on it's partner.   Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can't.   Please never abandon your loved ones  Never Say you're Busy When They Really Need You ...  You May Have The Entire World At Your Feet.....  But You Might Be The Only World To Them....   A Moment of negligence might break the very heart which loved you against all odds.......   Before you say something just remember..it takes a moment to Break but an entire lifetime to make.......may Allah not abandon us and may HE make us better Muslims.Amin Did u ever stop for a while & asked yourself what is going 2 happen to me the 1st night in my grave?.....think about the day people wil be carrying u to ur grave....and ur families crying...think about the moment u are put in ur grave....just imagine...imaginin yourself in ur grave down there in that dark hole....alone ...its too dark...u cry for help but no answer...nobody can help u ...its 2 narrow...ur bones are squashed...u regret all the bad things u did during your life....u regret missing 5 daily prayers...u regret ur disrespectful manners towards every1 especaily ur Parents.....Woman will regret not wearing her Hijab...u regret ignoring the orders of ALLAH....u regret ignoring the knowledge of Islam....there is no escape route....u will face your punishment for every little thing u've done...u are Alone in ur grave with only ur deeds....no money, no jewlries, no connections, no nothing only ur deeds........& when ur grave is shut u feel like screaming & telling every1 not to go...to stay beside ur grave....but u can't be heard they will leave u & go, u will even hear their footsteps...and hear them crying...as they walk away....While in this world u thought u will last forever..U thought u wil stay with ur friends & families forever. U thought u will have fun 4ever....U are wrong !!! So just spend few minute & think about or look through ur future and rememba ur final destination {Grave}....so spend the whole of ur life preparing for it bcos it must surely come & no one will be spared wallahi (I swear). DEATH is the destroyer of all pleasures.. Be wise...and be warned...foward this to ur friends & family if u are not selfish.

Helping Others During Ramadan

Ramadan is a special time of year -- a time when
Muslims around the world take a step back from
their daily routines and focus on community,
charity, fasting, and prayer. Ibn Abbas described
that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon
him) was the most generous of people, and even
more so during the month of Ramadan. Here are
some ideas of what you can do this month to
help those around you.
Learn More About Islam
The first step is to learn more about the faith of
Islam. Especially during these difficult times, it is
ever important to develop understanding and firm
knowledge of what Islam is and isn't. There are
books and videos for all levels -- introductions for
those just learning about the faith, and in-depth
studies for those who want to strengthen and
deepen their understanding.
Reach Out to Those Around You
Is there a family in your neighborhood that you
haven't seen in a while? A student in a strange
new city? A new Muslim who is fasting for the
first time? An elderly couple who can't get to the
mosque? Why not take a few minutes to make a
phone call, drop in for a visit, or invite someone to
iftar (dinner to break the daily fast). Even the
smallest gesture of kindness can make a huge
difference in someone's life.
Help Those in Need
All around the world, and even in your own
backyard, there are people who are suffering from
illness, hunger, or desperation. "Those who spend
their wealth by night and day, in secret and in
public, shall have their reward with their Lord. On
them shall be no fear, nor shall they
grieve" (Qur'an 2:274). "By no means shall you
attain righteousness unless you give freely from
that which you love. And whatever you give, Allah
knows it well" (Qur'an 3:92).
Pray for Others
"When My servants ask thee about Me, I am
indeed close to them. I respond to the prayer of
every suppliant when he calls on Me. Let them
also, with a will, listen to My call, and believe in
Me, that they may walk in the right way" (Qur'an
2:186). Most importantly, during this very special
month, take the time to pray for others - your
family, your loved ones, those who are ill, those
who live in fear, those who go hungry, those who
walk in darkness. May Allah guide all of us upon
the straight path of faith, and help us to be filled
with piety, patience, humility, and kindness.
DON'T FORGET TO SHARE this tips with others.

Who feed the poor

I remember last ramadan, when sheikh Mufti was
asked by a somali person :
”Sheikh is my fast accepted if we have no suhoor
or iftar?" and the sheikh started to cry, he
couldn't even answer the question, they had to
turn off the camera subhanAllah.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be
upon him) said: “Whoever gives food to a fasting
person with which to break his fast, will have a
reward equal to his, without it detracting in the
slightest from the reward of the fasting
person.” [Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 3/171; Saheeh
al-Targheeb, 1/451]
Combining fasting with feeding the poor is one of
the means of reaching Paradise, as the Prophet
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“In Paradise there are rooms whose outside can
be seen from the inside and the inside can be
seen from the outside. Allaah has prepared them
for those who feed the poor, who are gentle in
speech, who fast regularly and who pray at night
when people are asleep.”[Reported by Ahmad
5/343; Ibn Khuzaymah, no. 2137. Al-Albaan

16 things you can do on the Night of Power in Ramadan

By Abdul Malik Mujahid
Laylatul Qadr (the Night of Power) is described in
the Quran as, "better than a thousand
months" (97:3). Any action done on this night
such as reciting the Quran, remembering Allah,
etc. is better than acting for one thousand
months which do not contain the night of Qadr.
Allah's Messenger used to exert himself in
devotion during the last ten nights to a greater
extent than at any other time." (Muslim). Allah's
peace and blessings be upon our beloved
Prophet.
Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, related that
the Prophet said: Look for Laylatul Qadr on an
odd-numbered night during the last ten nights of
Ramadan (Bukhari).
The Prophet said: "Whoever prays during the
night of Qadr with faith and hoping for its reward
will have all of his previous sins
forgiven." (Bukhari and Muslim recorded from
Abu Huraira).
Here are some tips of things we can do on the
Night of Power and the time before and after it.
1. Take a vacation for Allah
We take a break from our jobs for almost
everything in life. Why not this time to focus on
worshiping and thanking our Creator.
If this is not possible at least take a few days off
if you can. This can make it easier to stay awake
at night to do extra Ibadah, not having to worry
about getting to work the next day.
It will also facilitate doing Itikaf.
2. Do Itikaf
It was a practice of the Prophet to spend the last
ten days and nights of Ramadan in the masjid for
Itikaf.
Those in Itikaf stay in the masjid all this time,
performing various forms of zikr (the
remembrance of Allah), like doing extra Salat,
recitation and study of the Quran. They do not go
outside the masjid except in case of emergencies,
therefore, they sleep in the masjid. Their families
or the masjid administration takes care of their
food needs.
Itikaf of a shorter period of time, like one night, a
day or a couple of days is encouraged as well.
3. Make this special Dua
Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: I
asked the Messenger of Allah: 'O Messenger of
Allah, if I know what night is the night of Qadr,
what should I say during it?' He said: 'Say: O
Allah, You are pardoning and You love to pardon,
so pardon me.' "(Ahmad, Ibn Majah, and
Tirmidhi).
The transliteration of this Dua is "Allahumma
innaka `afuwwun tuhibbul `afwa fa`fu `annee"
4. Recite the Quran
Perhaps you can choose Surahs or passages from
the Quran which you have heard in Tarawih this
past Ramadan to recite.
If you attend a class where the recitation of the
Quran is taught, this is a great time to put your
knowledge into practice.
5. Reflect on the meaning of the
Quran
Choose the latest Surah or Surahs you've heard
in Tarawih and read their translation and Tafseer.
Then think deeply about their meaning and how
it affects you on a personal level.
(If you want to study the Quran with more
understanding, check out Way to the Quran and
Access to Quranic Arabic.
6. Get your sins wiped out
Abu Huraira narrated that the Messenger said:
Whoever stands (in prayer) in Laylatul Qadr while
nourishing his faith with self-evaluation,
expecting reward from Allah, will have all of his
previous sins forgiven. [Bukhari and Muslim).
Don't just pray using the shorter Surahs that you
know. Try to make your prayers longer, deeper
and meaningful. If you are familiar with longer
Surahs, read the translation and explanation and
then pray reciting these Surahs, carefully
reflecting on the meaning while you pray.
Even if you are only familiar with the shorter
Surahs, read the translation and explanation
beforehand, and then pray reflecting on the
message of the Surahs.
This is a good way to develop the habit of
concentration, even in regular prayers, where
many of us tend to be fidgety and/or easily
distracted.
7. Make a personal Dua list.
Ask yourself what you really want from Allah.
Make a list of each and everything, no matter
how small or how big it is, whether it deals with
this world or not. Allah loves to hear from us.
Once this list is ready, you can do three things:
Ask Allah to give you those things
Think about what actions you have taken to
get those things
Develop a work plan to get those things in
future.
8. Evaluate yourself.
Ask yourself those questions that need to be
asked. Do an evaluation of where you are and
where you are going. Let this evaluation lead you
to feel happiness for the good you have done
and remorse for the bad you have done. (see a
short and a long evaluation guide) This latter
feeling should make it easier to seek Allah's
sincere forgiveness when making the Dua
mentioned in tip number one above.
9. Make long, sincere and deep Duas
One of the best times to do this is during the last
part of the night.
Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him,
related that the Prophet said: When the last one-
third of the night remains, our Lord, the Glorious
One descends towards the heaven of the earth
and proclaims: Who is that who supplicates for
Me, and I grant his supplication? Who is that who
begs Me for anything and I grant it to him? And
who is that who seeks My forgiveness, and I
forgive him? (Bukhari, Muslim).
That means for instance, waking up one hour
before Suhoor time to ask Allah for anything and
everything you want that is Halal. This can be
done using the Duas of the Sunnah, but also Dua
in your own language, with sincerity and
conviction.
For some tips on making Dua please see the
article Some personal Duas you can make.
10. Memorize a different Dua every
night
They don't have to be long. They can be just one
line. And be sure to know what they mean
generally at least, even if you don't know the
exact translation in English.
You can put them on index cards (or and keep
them with you during the day, glancing at them
during work, while driving, waiting in line, etc.)
Then practice them at night in prayer.
11. Have Iftar with the family
If you've spent Iftar time on weekdays in your
cubicle at work alone with a couple of dates, now
is the last few days you'll have this Ramadan to
spend with your family. Use it wisely.
12. Take the family to Tarawih
Have your spouse and kids missed Tarawih most
of Ramadan because you weren't there to drive
them to the Masjid, which is too far away to walk
to? If so, do all of yourselves a favor and bring
everyone for Tarawih in these last ten nights.
13. Attend the Dua after the
completion of Quran recitation
Almost all Masjids where the Imam aims to finish
an entire reading of the Quran in Tarawih
prayers in Ramadan will be completing their
recitation in these last ten nights. They may try to
end on one of the odd nights and read the Dua
at the end of a reading of the Quran. Attend this
particular night's Tarawih prayer with your
family. See if you can attend different Masjids'
Tarawih prayers the night they finish reading the
Quran.
14. Finish reading a book on the
Prophet
Read about the Prophet's life, which can increase
your love for him and Islam by seeing how much
he struggled for Allah's sake. It may inspire you
to push yourself even harder during these last
ten nights. This community is built on sacrifice.
15. Plan for the next year
Once you've done a self-evaluation, you can plan
on where you want to go, at least in the next 12
months. Laylatul Qadr is a great night to be
thinking about this (without taking away from
your worship), since you'll Insha Allah, be in a
more contemplative state. You may choose to
dedicate one night of power for evaluation and
one night for planning for the next year.
16. To do list for the Night of Power
Make a to do checklist for each Night of Power.
This should define how you would like your night,
the one better than a thousand months, to be
used. Pick things from this list and define the
sequence you would like to do things in. This will
help you avoid wasting your time in unproductive
chats which common in the festive atmosphere
of Masjids at the Night of Power.

Jabal Thawr

Jabal Thawr

Jabal Thawr is the mountain that contains the cave in which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) sought refuge for three days and nights from the Quraysh, as they left Makkah and emigrated to Madinah.
  • When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) arrived at the cave on Mount Thawr, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) entered first to clear away anything that might injure the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). He found a few holes and stuffed them with pieces of cloth. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) then entered and went to sleep on Abu Bakr’s (may Allah be pleased with him) lap. Suddenly, something stung Abu Bakr’s (may Allah be pleased with him) foot, but he did not twitch, fearing he would wake the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him). The pain was so intense that tears began to run down his cheeks and onto the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) face. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) woke up and saw that Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was in pain. He applied his spittle on the injury and the pain disappeared.
  • For three consecutive nights the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) remained hidden in the cave. During this period, Abu Bakr’s (may Allah be pleased with him) son, Abdullah, would pass his nights nearby. The young man would return to Makkah very early in the morning so that the Quraysh had no idea that he had slept elsewhere. Each day in Makkah he collected information about the activities of the Quraysh, and each night went back to Jabl Thawr to inform the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and his father Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him).
  • Abu Bakr’s (may Allah be pleased with him) slave, Amir bin Fuhayra (may Allah be pleased with him), would graze Abu Bakr’s (may Allah be pleased with him) goats near the cave so that both men could drink fresh milk. Early the next morning Amir would drive the goats back to Makkah along the same route that Abu Bakr’s (may Allah be pleased with him) son took, to obscure his footprints.
  • When they were inside Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) sent a spider to spin a web from a bush across the entrance to the cave. Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) also commanded two doves to fly down between the spider and the tree, make a nest and lay eggs. Meanwhile the Quraysh search party scoured the area south of Makkah where the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) where hiding. They came upon the mouth of the cave, and had they looked down while standing at the edge of the cave, they would have surely found the men they were hunting.
  • With the Quraysh so close to discovering their hiding place, Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) became very tense about the Prophet’s (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) safety. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) reassured him, “How can you be apprehensive about two with whom is a third, especially when the third one is Allah?”
  • On seeing the spider’s web and dove nest, the Quraysh concluded that no one could have entered the cave and left. Describing this scene the Quran mentions in Surah Taubah: “If ye help not (your leader), (it is no matter): for Allah did indeed help him, when the Unbelievers drove him out: he had no more than one companion; they two were in the cave, and he said to his companion, “Have no fear, for Allah is with us”: then Allah sent down His peace upon him, and strengthened him with forces which ye saw not, and humbled to the depths the word of the Unbelievers. But the word of Allah is exalted to the heights: for Allah is Exalted in might, Wise.“ [9:40]
  • After three days when they learnt that the search by the Quraysh had petered out they left the cave and headed towards Yathrib (Madinah). Asma (may Allah be pleased with her), the daughter of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to them bringing food for the journey. When they were about to start she could find nothing to tie it to their saddles and so she undid her waistband, tore it in two, wore half and tied the food with the other half. This ready solution won her praise from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) who also named her ‘She of the two waistband’. And after that the Muslims knew her by that name.

Shaykh Maher (imam of Harem Makkah) gives some very practical advice here

He says:

Ideas for the last ten days:

1. Give 1 dinar in charity every day, so if it falls on laylatul qadr it's as if u gave charity everyday for 84 years.

2. Pray two ra'kaat everyday, so if it falls on laylatul qadr it's as if u prayed everyday for 84 years.

3. Read Surah ikhlaas three times a day, so if it falls on laylatul qadr it's as if u read the whole Quran everyday for 84 years.

He then says spread this as you may find it on your account [of good deeds].

Allah make us of the victorious.

10 Tips to get the best out of the blessed last 10 Nights of Ramadan

1. No matter how good or bad your Ramadan went, enter the last 10 Days well prepared, with pure intentions, full energy and a positive outlook.

2. Listen to or read the Tafsir of Surah Al-Qadr to know about this amazing night, to switch that mode ON and to keep it remained ON for all the nights. It could fall on any of the last 10 nights.

3. Choose the most comfortable place for worship in your home or Masjid. Avoid leaning on pillows & cushions while reciting Qur’an or Adhkaar so as to keep your back straight.

4. Switch off your mobile phones, iPads and Laptops if possible.

5. If you’re alone, recite the Qur’an in a loud beautiful voice so that your ears & heart remain involved with the recitation and you don’t feel drowsy. Plus it has an amazingly calming effect trust me!

If you’re not alone then you can recite in a normal volume not to disturb others but can listen to a Qiraa-at in high volume using your earphone.

6. Elongate your Sujood and make loads and loads of Du’aas in it. Cry hard and ask ALLAH everything you wish for in Dunya and Aakhirah.

7. Raise your Du’aa – Remember it’s the night of decree and angels are precisely writing down whatever is gonna happen in your life for the next coming year, be specific in your Du’aas and ask for each and everything you need – Hajj, Job, Career, Spouse, Children, Home, whatever. Don’t play small in your Du’aas as you’re asking the KING OF ALL KINGS!

8. Pray 2 Raka’ah Salatul Tawbah every single night and ask for forgiveness from ALLAH – Al-Ghaffar, Al-Ghafoor, Al-Tawwab and Al-’Afuww. Repent sincerely with full hope and firm resolve of not repeating those sins again.

9. Memorize and keep asking the Du’aa of Lailatul Qadr: Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibb al-‘afwa fa’affu ‘anni (O Allaah, You are forgiving and You love forgiveness, so forgive me).

10. Ask ALLAH to grant you Lailatul Qadr and accept from you whatever ‘ibaadaat you did by His tawfeeq.

AL-RAHMAN (The All-Compassionate)

ﺍﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ
AL-RAHMAN
(The All-Compassionate)
അര്-റഹ്മാന് : പരമ-കാരുണ്യവാന്
The One who continually showers all of creation
with blessings and prosperity without any
disparity. The One who is most kind, loving and
merciful. The One whose endless, loving mercy is
perfect and inclusive. The One who is overflowing
with the quality of loving mercy and is continually
pouring it upon all of creation. The One whose
perfect mercy and loving beneficence endlessly
embrace all of creation. The One who loves and
cherishes all of creation.
The One who is most loving, gentle and merciful.
The Most Gracious has imparted this Qur’an unto
man. He has created man: He has imparted unto
him articulate thought and speech. At His behest
the sun and the moon run their appointed
courses; before Him prostrate themselves the
stars and the trees. And the skies has He raised
high, and has devised for all things a measure, so
that you too, O men, might never transgress the
measure of what is right: weight, therefore, your
deeds with equity, and cut not the measure short!
and the earth has He spread out for all living
beings, with fruit thereon, and palm trees with
sheathed clusters of dates, and grain growing tall
on its stalks, and sweet-smelling plants. Which,
then, of your Sustainer’s powers can you
disavow?
Ar-Rahman 55:1-13, tr. Asad
Benefits of Reading : If this ism is recited 100
times daily after every salaah,
if Allah wills, hard heartedness and negligence will
be removed from the readers heart.

ROMANCE IN ISLAM

Look at the story of Abdullahi Ibn Abubakar and
Atikah bint Zaid, Atikah was so beautiful, one of
the most beautiful female companions, they were
so in love, that they were mad about each other,
if they could swallow each other they would have
done that. Abdulllahi was crazy about her, to the
extent that he started missing Salat and Jihad,
until Abubakar Siddiq (RA) commanded Abdullahi
to divorce her, Abdullahi became depressed that
he started singing love poems about Atikah up and
down at home.
This was what made Abubakar to re-consider the
issue and eventually Abdullahi and Atikah were
back together again, and Abdullahi even made
Atikah to promise him that she won't marry any
other man after his death. The Prophet (SAW)
said, a woman will be with her final husband in
Jannah (Tirmidhi).
Abu Darda and Umm Darda were also another
lovebirds, to the extent that when Abu Darda died,
Umm Darda refused to get married again cos she
thought no other man can replace Abu Darda.
When Muawiyah proposed to her, she declined and
said, am already engaged to
Abu Darda in paradise. How sweet!
That's eternal love. Marriage can be made
beautiful or terrible, it all depends on d spouses.
When Umm Silah, the wife of Ahmad Ibn Hanbal
died, he wept and said, I have lived with this
woman for the past 30 years and we never
quarrelled for once. People asked him, how is that
possible? He said, whenever I am getting angry
she keeps quiet and whenever she is getting
angry I keep quiet, so we never had
mutual argument. How romantic.... How many
couples today can spend a week without
argument? Brothers learn to be romantic
and sweet, some brothers are even shy of
expressing their love for
their wives, if you don't tell her your feelings, who
will??? Ahmad
Ibn Hanbal said, women love to be told clearly
that they are loved,
it strengthens the feelings and affection, if you
refuse to express
your feelings for her, it will create a barrier of
harshness between
you and her.
Most couples today are only romantic for the first
few years of
marriage, after that, its assumed that it’s childish
to keep saying (I
love you). What's childish about it? Wallahi those
3 words are the basis and foundation of marriage.
Brothers, be romantic:
sometimes u should eat from the same plate and
feed your wives, sometimes put meat In between
ur teeth and put it in ur wives mouth by way of
kissing thereby mutually sharing the meat. At
times involve in pillow fights with your wives,
throw pillows at
her. when she is angry, hold her and tell her how
beautiful she is, tell her "you look more beautiful
when you are angry", if she is still angry, then
move back and throw chocolates at her, spray
perfume on her or pour water on her, all these are
part of being romantic. At times carry your wife in
your arms around the house,
at times carry the baby on your back too. At
times play simple
games together, throw balls at each other, have a
mini gymnasium
in your house where you train your wife, carry her
and let her carry
you if she has the strength, but don't allow her to
knack you
down!!! Watch Islamic stations together with her,
eat pop-corn
together, sleep on the same room and on the
same bed, don't
have your own separate room, some men now
have their own room where they run to, after
quarrelling with their wife, who are you leaving her
for? Even if a man practices polygyny, he can't
have his own room, he has to be rationing rooms
from one wife to the other. That's justice!!!!!
At times, go on a stroll with your wife and chit-
chat with her, go to
places of amusement or admiration of nature if
the places are free from half naked zombies.....
Don't only buy gifts for your wife when she is sick
in the hospital, buy for her often. The best gift is
the one that comes from the bottom of your heart
not the store. Shop things for her, there is nothing
wrong with you going to the market with your
beards and say "I want to buy female underwear,
its just a gift of love. May Allah bless all our
spouses. Amiin
